Interesting that you say it's "like real life", when our eyes do the exact opposite than this mod. Our eyes adapt to darker areas and brighter naturally, just like the game does
no ... because our eyes adapt incredibly slowly, in fact you can't even feel it, while in the game it's instant, which makes the lighting feel very weird and unstable, not natural at all,
Same argument I've seen for r6s back when trying to peek outside as a defender was like looking directly at the sun. Everyone hated it then and when ubi finally got rid of it nobody missed it.
usually the most "realistic" option would mimic a camera lens rather than a human eye recent games tend to expand the dynamic range and make the image more clear (like human eye) but i prefer the imperfect camera lens feel more in Cyberpunk it makes more sense to make it like the human eye considering all the art direction for the ui and shit, but it makes everything super flat and eliminates lighting depth i mean if you could play the game with full pathtracing on, you would understand
@LaTrancheDePain I understand what you mean, yes lighting depth is important so the image doesn't feel flat. Still I just hate the implementation of auto exposure in Cyberpunk, because it's so ridiculously forced, in the name of "lighting depth" that it feels nauseating and frenetic , like someone flashing your eyes with a flashlight, and again every time you watch in another direction
i think your major complaint is the lack of ambient occlusion which is why everything looks flat. the exposure is pre-hdr. if you want just turn hdr on. and you dont have overexposed
you did worth. i like the original more. its dynamic and cinematic. i dont play the game for it to be LIKE NATURAL. if i wanted natural i can go outside
because What's the point of implementing the best Ray Tracing in the world to display REAL lighting, only to ruin that purpose with FAKE auto-exposure?

Then let our eyes do it naturally rather than have the game aggressively try to recreate it.

exactly
I only play with PSVR2 on pc, it's oled screen, so it already has very high dynamic range, that's why I don't need to use HDR
Is this with path tracing/Ray tracing on? I love the path tracing look, unmatched imo
@@Glurflit's path tracing, but for me runs only with frame generation on, and everything set to low....so it could look even better

very nice quality of life mod, thank you for this
The eye adaptation effect is pretty cool, why remove it?

@@urania3333 Maybe make it a feature of one of the Eye Cyberwares, because the eye adaptation looks pretty good to me.
@@zupremo9141 it's a good idea, but I'm not a skilled modder, so I would not be able to mod that
I wonder how good it looks at night

@@wade4846 no hit on performance, because it changes files already in the game
turned off auto exposure lol
