We're one week out from the Rip Curl Pro and we're pretty pumped to announce that 1998 Rip Curl Pro Champion and Fuel TV's Mark 'Occy' Occhilupo will be joining our commentary team!
What better way to welcome Occy than by unveiling flashback footage from our vault. Filmed and edited by PK (Peter Kirkhouse) from the film "Bells and Beyond", sit back and enjoy watching Occy freesurfing and competing throughout the late 80's to the big day in 2006 at Bells.

no one in the 2017 top 34 -- not even john john or kelly -- can surf like this in 2017
looks to me that surfing is not really evolving, its more like going in a different (aerial) direction instead
there is no one following the steps of -- and building something out of the magnificent carving surfing done by -- occy, curren, carroll etc...
