National Drowning Report 2023 Launch in Canberra

Together with Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, we released the National Drowning Report 2023 this week. Last year, there were 281 drowning deaths across Australia, and while it is a decrease from the previous year, it was still 1% higher than the ten-year average.
Joining us at Parliament House in Canberra to launch the Report was Hon Anika Wells MP Minister for Aged Care and Sport, and the Co-Chairs of the Parliamentary Friends of SLSA, The Hon Matt Thistlethwaite MP, member for Kingsford Smith, and Ms Angie Bell MP, Member for Moncrieff.
