Today's date May 11 2024. This morning I was out and about and came across a yard sale. There was a clear plastic storage container full of toys. There was late 1980 and early 1990 Batman vehicles and action figures in it. And the GI Joe raider and several action figures was also in the container. Long story short I offered $20 for the whole container. The price was agreed upon. Let me explain this the the 1993 animated series batmobile plus Batman action figure sitting in it goes for over $200 in collector value by itself. The container had three of those in it. The icing on the cake was the GI Joe raider complete with two action figures sitting in the cockpit and all the missiles and and other functions complete. I have to say I was not aware at the time I bought the container that there was such a high value on these toys. And thanks to this very video GI Joe raider review I freaked out that all the functions at this had! I had no idea it did so many different things! You could hear me laughing excitedly probably up and down the block when this video I was watching revealed all the functions of the GI Joe raider I had not realized it was capable of doing . Thank you for posting this video review otherwise I would have not known what this toy was really about.
That’s an awesome find overall! Love the old Batman animated figures too! I had a bunch of them growing up. Yard sale and flea markets are so much fun. It’s funny, sometimes I’ll have dreams of finding rare figures at those and get so excited in my dream. It’ll seem so real and when I wake up I realize it’s all just a dream and get bummed. 😂 up glad you enjoyed my review! And thanks go for the story it was enjoyable to read!
I recently bought a Raider.What makes them tough to complete is that the clips the side cannons attach to are frequently broken. Also, the spotlights *look* like the can raise and lower… but they *can't* ! There are plenty of Raiders with broken spotlights for this reason. Most importantly, you started your video with the main body turned *backwards* . The mini tank's turret faces forward along with main body's chin guns.
Nice review. Had one of these as a kid. However (as you may have learned by now) you have the top turret turned backward. The scout car is actually the front of the vehicle. Check out the box art when you get a chance. There were no guns pointing at the rear. But with all of those guns blazing there wouldn't have been anything left to shoot it from the rear.
I remember when I was a kid, I got one. One night my "father" came home drunk and trampled on for no reason. A lot of my toys got a similar fate. Fortunately I haven't seen my "father" for 20 years.

This was an amazing, short lived time for GI Joe vehicles. The late 80's featured some of the coolest designs that teetered heavily on Sci-Fi. They were so intricate and nearly all of the bigger toys boasted multiple features to make play exciting. I was a little kid in the 90's, and so when I came across things like the Razorback or caught glimpses of the Raider in my friends toy pile, I didn't even think they were GI Joe vehicles at first. The sturdy build quality and tasteful palette choices are a far cry compared to the 91'/92' stuff. Every time I see this vehicle, I wish I had it back in the day.
As an Oakland Raiders fan, I suspect that Hot Seat is inspired by the team's logo. The vehicle's name is Raider, Hot Seat has grey/silver hair (one of the team's colours), and lastly, and most tellingly, the helmet. It has one eye covered, as the Raider's logo has a face with an eyepatch. And his face kinda reminds me of John Madden... Just an idea

I had this vehicle as a kid, but somehow everything but the missiles, the driver, and the scout tank got either lost or broken. I have no idea what happened. but I used the scout tank for EVERY SINGLE MISSION. it was just so fun and easy to play with. The only part I still have is Hot Seat and, fittingly, he drives my Monster Blaster.
It looks like his legs are a reuse of the first toxo-viper but the vehicle looks pretty cool I dig the vehicle do it fit the modern figures??I like it ...nice work man thumbs up

Lmao I know he retracted the aiming thing of the mini tank but the comment of aiming for a dudes knee cracked me up,even if you could (& you can) aim higher at say chest or head who the fuck wastes a shell on a single dude & even if you were forced to it's gonna be a HE shell most likely so putting the shell within 10-15 yards would turn the guys organs to mush. I know it's a stupid nitpick but he started the nitpicking lol. Great video & great content though dude keep up the great work,I'm new to the channel so I'm not sure if it's been done already but a review of the battle wagon would be great please,I bought my brother it for xmas one year it cost a damn fortune but I saw Argos had one in the store discounted coz of a "broken" missile launcher lmao took it apart fixed it (loose wire I think) so I ended up with a pristine battle wagon for a tenner & was an awesome brother that xmas lol
I like the vehicle to a point, but hate the character of Hot Seat, moreover if Hasbro going to do Armor core soldiers research and find out what gear they got! Hasbro could have made the investment in more functional vehicles but, I believe they were to preoccupied with profit margins for all these vehicles.
vehicle is cool , fits the Mobil Command Base as a defense platform (its the colors ) again the driver looks like some ex-con white thrash escape-from -NY -looking punk ,always hated the fact most of them don't have any military looks or items ... ah well great review;)

After waiting months for the seller to send me the missing parts that did not arrive and them being broken i sent it back. Worst experience of a joe vehicle for me. I would not bother with it , its over hyped in my opinion.
There's a weak spot in the design. The little hooks that hold the scout tank in place are very prone to breaking. As I discovered one Christmas back in the day....sob.
You concern yourself too much with covered backsides, tactically speaking. Armor units like tanks don't tend to be deployed alone or in the middle of enemy forces so only a foolish tank commamder would get themselves surrounded. They brute force their way against fortified positions and collapse enemy lines. They are also usually supported by infantry and perhaps paired with faster ground vehicles like jeeps or fast attack vehicles. You also underestimate how quickly a turret can traverse and how quickly a tracked vehicle can rotate and turn. Modern tanks are actually pretty fast.

Loved it but its the most fragile gi joe vehicle ever made. I always got a jayce and wheeled warriors vibe with this vehicle
I would say one of the most. the killer whale was pretty fragile too. The whale just falls apart and cracks so easily.
