I just started my mandolin journey and David Grisman is the one who inspired me to pick it up, and I'm so grateful for your lessons!! You explain everything really well! Thank you!
+MandoLessons I wish I were using them as lessons. I'm hoping to get a mandolin sometime soon and start learning. Beautiful sound. You should visit Italy in the summer or spring :) it's really beautiful
You are such a nice guy. I really appreciate all these videos. They are helping me find my way into my mandolin. I tried to learn to play earlier in life but I didn't have great resources like these videos. I love your teaching style, your tremolo - and your mandolin! 😀 Muchas gracias.
@@krumpelschtiltzkeen thanks for cleaning this up. We grow up watching American television. So we know the accents and you can work out how the pronunciation comes about. But this one stumped me. I’m not criticising him.
I don’t play metal or anything but have been looking up those types of tutorials to learn this technique then it dawned on me that it might be better to learn it from mandolin players
+A Nelson A combination of staying really relaxed and being a little more accurate with your right hand, moving less so you don't end up hitting other strings. Thanks, Baron
I joined a Mandolin orchestra and I need to play lots of tremolo. I've noticed that my pick starts to turn. How do you keep the pick loose without it turning? I'm guessing you're going to say practice.
How are you holding the pick? the problem went away for me after I learned to pinch it between my thumb and side of my first knuckle on my pointer finger instead of between my thumb and the pad of my pointer.
Great lesson as always! Does anyone have any info on the Alvarez A100? I have one and can't figure out what year it is? It plays and sounds great...I think it was made in Japan in the early 90ss? Really want an Eastmann 305 but not sure if it is a big inprovement....I know it is all solid..
I've never heard anyone say tremolo like you do before. I had to watch another video to see if I've been saying it wrong. I started to watch Mike Marshall's tremolo video to see how he said it. Is this the Italian pronunciation?
+Julie Nielsen I have no idea! I must have heard someone pronounce it like that at some point, but I can't vouch for its correctness. I definitely don't speak Italian :)
Very weird. It's as tho' he taught himself the pronunciation from reading the word. I doubt he ever heard anyone else pronounce it that way. I sure haven't.
That's the sound that drew me to the mandolin.
Oh yes, same here.
Omg yes

I love the sound of the mandolin. It really reminds me of home, Italy
+Helena Bednarski I've never been to Italy, but would love to visit! I'm glad you are enjoying the lessons!

You’re an excellent teacher! Thanks so much for sharing the joy. 🙏
I love your tutorials, they are so easy to understand. I've only been playing a few days, your videos have helped a great deal.
One of the most beautiful sounds ever
Your videos are very helpful! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos
Thank you so much
Dude you are SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks very much!
Excellent, thanks. Btw, TREM-oh-lo rather than trem-OH-lo, but you prob. have realized this by now.
Sounds more Italian as "trem O lo".
Thanks for this. Beautiful sound as always. As Brit it’s interesting to hear your pronunciation of tremolo .
I'm American. I have never heard that before.

Thank You!
It was great help for me!
On the open string is easy compared to the inner strings - any tips on tremelo on A/D??

Thanks,

Thanks!
What size of the pick is the best? Includes bandurria
My mandolin doesn't have a support for arm like yours does. How would you suggest I brace my forearm or wrist? Thanks.
Shukriya Bro..😋..U Help Me Alot

Do you have to use a pick?
How much max bpm to practice G STRING TREMOLO

What are you playing at 6:33 ? There is a C chord but i can't find the notes you make after it
I play 250x then 240x (Dsus4 to Dmaj). I hope that helps! Good question!

Julie Nielsen It's pronounced as Tre, as in Trek, Mo, as in mall, Lo, as in Lord, not Treymowlow
About as correct as man DOUGH lin. No, it is not Italian.
TrEmolo, not tremOlo.
What blue-chip do you use?
Do you also say 'FreDERick'?
trem-olo, sounds like a breakfast drink from the 50's
Truh-mo-lo
But is it tremO lo or TREM o lo
The second one.
Great tutorial but GOD WHY DID YOU SAY TREMOLO LIKE THAT 😭😭😭😭😭
Using this to try and learn how to play death metal guitar lmao
It's pronounced TREmolo. The accent is on the first syllable. Not even in Italian is it pronounced with the accent on the second syllable.
Very weird. It's as tho' he taught himself the pronunciation from reading the word. I doubt he ever heard anyone else pronounce it that way. I sure haven't.
It‘s also LeviOsa, not leviosA
No one would ever make that mistake, except maybe for Ron.
Trem alo
It's a word, pronounce it however the hell you want !!!
Wtf. It's pronounced tremolo, not tremolo!
Trim - uh - low
Love it! Thanks for the tips! BTW you're pronouncing tremolo wrong- should be like TREH-mo-lo
vegtamvanderveg Tre-mu-low is how I say it - always ganna be regional differences!
tuto qui n'apporte rien!
It's pronounced (TremA-Low)
