One of the best songs in the game, unironically. So many different elements, interesting keys, and modulations put together into one SUPER catchy tapestry. It's so impressive to hear how Kirkhope improved his style even since Banjo Kazooie. Actual legend.
@@Gruntilda-Winkybunion - Overall, yes, DK64 has the better soundtrack, and so does Tooie. It's more diverse, more grand, and you can tell that Kirkhope improved his composition style significantly. So many BK soundtracks rely on modulating up a half-step, while DK64 and Tooie both uses much more complex and interesting chord progressions. This isn't to say that BK music is BAD by any stretch of the imagination. It's just that Kirkhope clearly improved across time, and it's very impressive to see this change happen so quickly. He must've gotten used to the instruments after "dipping his toe in the water" with BK, so to speak.
@@lucaschannel1113 Bosses are "just" remixes. Very cool remix mind you ! But the way the song "alter" itself to always be continuous while chaning underwater or inside a cave or near a certain point of interest is incredible to me
Considering that most of the level is a desert with the first small hub been a oasis, it probably was an egyptian level originally but maybe they couldn't find a fun pun or a nice sounding alliteration for it's name.
I see what you mean, but the Aztecs used to dwell in the desert regions of Mexico and the south of what would become part of the United States (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, etc). It's called "Aztlan," which is where we get the word for "Aztec." The desert theming isn't entirely inaccurate, but it feels a bit more Middle Eastern on the surface.
