Jasper Cacioppi Im not sure exactly how, but I do know that you'll need this mod : forums.civfanatics.com/resources/autoplay.25735/ It's the autoplay feature that Drew uses
>"all victory types are on" >no domination victory by year 1820 >"okay guys, it's a draw" How about we see a science or culture victory for a change???
Josh Brown technically Cleopatra's Egypt is a Greek civilization. She is a descendant of Ptolemy I, a lieutenant of Alexander the Great. Much like how England spoke French in the years after William the Conqueror took power, Egypt spoke Greek after Alexander, and later Ptolemy, took over.
AidanWoW Correct, at the point in history when Cleopatra ruled Egypt, they were almost cultural hellenic from all the Greek influence, Greece had several colonies around the Nile as well which helped spread their influence.
Cyrus definitely, a Unit with the Same defense strength as a Swordsmen that is ranged is quite powerful, and in the Ancient/Classical it would be a force to be reckoned with. However if it came to long wars and a huge Stalemate, then Alexander would be the one to choose.
I think it needs to be 3 fights on the same land type. Where each AI starts, and who it starts beside, is a big factor. Adding in the variable of different land mass just makes it harder to determine which civ is stronger. One ends up in a slightly better spot, the other AI starts out crippled, and the entire game is tilted. I know keeping it the same type still leaves the chance of that happening, but damn that fractal start was brutal for Cyrus in a way it wasn't for Alexander in either of the other two rounds. But I know you can't control the starts :3 thanks Drew
immortals are so underrated they are litterally swordsmen an allready strong unit with a ranged attack of an archer also a really strong unit you just ge ta bunch of immortals and rush down nearest neighbor
Drew when are you going to do another AI only earth tsl game? Also I like the idea of having 3 or maybe 4 civs in these kind of games and why don't you play multiplayer with other youtubers or get a friend of yours to do either a big both of you take over the world or fight each other
Wait CAN city-states take cities? I thought they were like barbarians in that way, only able to pillage and weaken the city but not take it. If city-states can take cities, can you put envoys in the second city?
i think the reason why those rebels became units could be due to he great general who converts barbarians to units, or it could have been an apostle who had the promotion which allowed it to convert them.
Drew you should do an ai only where it's the old world and they're colonizing but you have prince civs (or whatever difficulty) that act as natives to spice it up.
about the barbarians turning persian, it's a great general retirement ability, and Macedon has the advantage in long wars because they get way less war weariness
Why don't you make an actual bracket and do it match madness style with all the civs...you can see the civs and even break them up regionally... that would be fun!
Alex had barely any military units left in the second game, he had a big empire and might have been ahead in tech but his military looked pitiful. I dont agree with your choice of picking him for the second game, if Cyrus had any siege units he could've just walked right in.
I have 12 (some need rise ad fall) Australia VS Indonesia France VS England Scythia VS Russia Scotland VS England Mpuche VS Brazil Zulu VS Kongo Korea VS Japan Spain VS Netherlands Germany VS Norway Spain VS India(Gandhi) Russia VS USA Cree VS Aztec
I don't know if anybody knows this but Alexander actually spent a large part of his military campaigns trying to take down Persia. He eventually did do it but it took a long time.
Alexander's big ability is stealing other players' cities. I only saw that happen once. Third match, Cyrus didn't deploy his "early game unique units" at all early. AI is A. ='[.]'=
Every time I play or watch this game with AI, it is still baffling to me that the developer released this game with such an incomplete and broken AI. Their combat logic is so screwed... not even the mods can fix it.
The reason there was no war in match 2 could have been because of a religious conversion. Converting an AI to a religion makes them like you a lot more, so that could have dissuaded a war.
Cyrus the Great all day he's my favorite ruler in history. So im quite bias twards him. Alexander dis just finess his empire in our timeline. Instead of build hus own. Douch.
There is an Apostle upgrade that allows them to convert Barbarians over to your side
Yup. Never thought to save them for rebels in my home territory before. Thanks Cyrus!
some generals have that special ability too
Robert rafa reminds me of rome
Joan of Arc as well?
Wololo wololo
OBVIOUSLY ghandi won
Ghandi spent the whole game denouncing the two warmongers. =^[.]^=
ove boren you know it!
Umm, does anyone know how to set up an AI only battle? I can't figure it out.
But where was ya boi ghandi's nukes....
Jasper Cacioppi Im not sure exactly how, but I do know that you'll need this mod : forums.civfanatics.com/resources/autoplay.25735/
It's the autoplay feature that Drew uses
That thin piece of land connecting the two bigger pieces is called an "isthmus"
Was about to say that
It is but pls don’t make e pronounce it
@@samischultz5571 Pronounce it
Have you thought about doing a 1v1 with the Aztecs and the Spaniards?
Icthiolavarunt 3 años y no lo hizo compa
History already did that
>"all victory types are on"
>no domination victory by year 1820
>"okay guys, it's a draw"
How about we see a science or culture victory for a change???
GREECE VS GREECE VS GREECE!!!
Alexander isn't Greek.
It is a big discussion about if he is from FYR Macedonia or the part of Greece called Macedonia
yes it is very possible to be slavic about 1000 years before the slavs even arrived in the balkans... ugh idiots
Jack de Reduvo ... Yes Macedon was a city state of greece the cities you see are the ones he built but he ruled over greece he was greek
Hey, just asking, but does anyone know hoe he sets up these AI only battles?
I think that turning rebels into units magic you witnessed is Great General Boudicca's unique ability.
Ancient-Rhino Wang or just an apostle
Last time I was this early there was only 1 greece not 3
Josh Brown technically Cleopatra's Egypt is a Greek civilization.
Josh Brown Alexander is'nt quiet techincally greek : he conquered it.
But got heavily influenced by greek culture.
It;s not a question. It's a historic fact that Alexander the Great is Hellenic, don't listen to Fyrom propaganda
Last Whisper Greek culture (hellenism) had existed decades before Alexander was born, he just was influenced by it
Who do you think is the better civ / leader? Let me know!
Cyrus... please
probs Persia, they are good early game and also seem to be fairle good late game as well
Cyrus definitely, a Unit with the Same defense strength as a Swordsmen that is ranged is quite powerful, and in the Ancient/Classical it would be a force to be reckoned with. However if it came to long wars and a huge Stalemate, then Alexander would be the one to choose.
Drew Durnil I think they deserve a retest with more complete information on each round. too close to call
The one thing that got me was Alexander seemed like he had no problem letting a war drag on just to cause trouble to the other civ. Very interesting.
I think it needs to be 3 fights on the same land type. Where each AI starts, and who it starts beside, is a big factor. Adding in the variable of different land mass just makes it harder to determine which civ is stronger. One ends up in a slightly better spot, the other AI starts out crippled, and the entire game is tilted.

the Persian ai seems to be glitches not to attack with their unique units.
First war, Alexander loosing to a city state, the great general is a tired ^^
And in my opinion Alexander is my favorite :P
When I'm about to go to sleep but this notification comes up. I ain't sleeping.
joseph mcwatters It's 6:20😂😂😂😂😂😂
joseph mcwatters It's 6:20😂😂😂😂😂😂
implying there is only one time zone for everyone
Those mysterious converted rebel muskets were probably the result of either Boudicca's special ability or an apostle
ffs Firaxis, it's midnight here, I was just about to sleep and now you release them!
I agree with each of your decisions. Persia, Greece, Greece
Hey. Are you going to make AI battle between every Civ?
Possibly!
Drew Durnil please do
Yeah make it bracketed--have quarterfinals, semis--that would be really cool.
Battle of cultures! Brazil vs France?
Can you please have true start locations on? Thanks
Can we see an England v France AI Only. These two had one of the greatest rivalries in all of history. Or maybe an America v. Russia
Persia was the only civ who actually won a game so I say persia
Do both greece/macedon/persia/india/egypt :) would be awsome to see all of them clash
So Rome and China would be in it, too?
Jack de Reduvo idk... its just bc alexander clashed and/or concurred them all :)
The "very small thing" is called an ismuth
How do you set up an AI only battle? I would like to try one for myself. Is it a mod or something?
When the A.I have skyscrapers and muskets at 800 A.D
Go Cyrus, win,
hey drew i know you did a 1v1 with germany and russia but what about germany and France? as the 2 were bitter enemies in the 20th century
immortals are so underrated they are litterally swordsmen an allready strong unit with a ranged attack of an archer also a really strong unit you just ge ta bunch of immortals and rush down nearest neighbor
awesome video drew.
Drew when are you going to do another AI only earth tsl game? Also I like the idea of having 3 or maybe 4 civs in these kind of games and why don't you play multiplayer with other youtubers or get a friend of yours to do either a big both of you take over the world or fight each other
I like 360p the most anyway
Persia won because religious victory was on and they focused on it and cracked it .
Persia won the first one arguably too .
historically, Alexander conquered the entire known world, except Arabia, because he died just before his plans to declare war on them unfolded.
he knew about rome as city when it wasnt that powerfull
YES! Eyjafjallajökull is in Civ as a wonder!
6:27 I believe it is called an isthmus, if my memory of scholastic Geography is correct.
6:30 the word you're looking for that describes a thin strip of land connecting two larger landmasses is "isthmus", not "peninsula".
Hey drew, how do you do your ai battles?
What mod or settings are you using to set these battles?
do a athens vs. sparta vs. macedon
Drew you should do an ai only where it's the old world and they're colonizing but you have prince civs (or whatever difficulty) that act as natives to spice it up.
The rebel to ally thing is a great general retirement ability.
I miss hoi4
one of the first :D Drew when is Poland gonna fight?
if you go to multiplayer -> hot-seat then you can select difficulty for each ai individually, and then play without a player
How do you play AI only?
Aiden's Volgs Gedemon's Autoplay.3 mod. it's in the steam workshop
Oh, cool, thanks
In my completely unbiased opinion, the victor is, without a doubt, Gandhi.
Wait... Greece vs Rome that would be interesting
about the barbarians turning persian, it's a great general retirement ability, and Macedon has the advantage in long wars because they get way less war weariness
I think you should make a duel between the most ancient war-civs. Sumeria vs. Sycthia
Grenada with that AT crew though
Why don't you make an actual bracket and do it match madness style with all the civs...you can see the civs and even break them up regionally... that would be fun!
I think you need an arena type map with even starting locations if you want a proper tournament.
Cyrus built the persian Empire.
Alexander inherrited the great army and Greek sollution enabeling striking out in force from his father...
Alex had barely any military units left in the second game, he had a big empire and might have been ahead in tech but his military looked pitiful. I dont agree with your choice of picking him for the second game, if Cyrus had any siege units he could've just walked right in.
You should do these tournament style.
Alexander won and I personally line him better, but I love both
makedonac:ah yes I'm proud to be
Greece :shut up
I've been playing as Alexander and he's unstable in the early game
I miss this type of content😪
Gotta make Persia vs. Scynthia
I have 12 (some need rise ad fall)
Australia VS Indonesia
France VS England
Scythia VS Russia
Scotland VS England
Mpuche VS Brazil
Zulu VS Kongo
Korea VS Japan
Spain VS Netherlands
Germany VS Norway
Spain VS India(Gandhi)
Russia VS USA
Cree VS Aztec
(As of when i'm writing this) The only resolutions available are in 1080p and 720p. I'm not complaining but maybe this can be fixed
The other resolutions will be available soon!
Lawrence Tran I'm on phone as of right now. So the highest is 480 p
peter the great vs cyrus the great vs alexander the great
this update released?
Yep as of this morning!
Drew Durnil stupid steam! I've been playing all day! lol
I don't Think you've done this but
Norway vs Germany 1v1 AI
That is not fair....you didn't check ranking in second match
What a great birthday gift :D
Happy Birthday!
can you give seed for first pangea map?
Xerxes did nothing wrong
Please play as Alexander for your next true start
You need to do a map where all civs are on one map and see who wins.
Play AS Norway Wen you play on Earth map
Macedon won the first one, i mean come on drew be real
The AI are actually monkies when there is water near a city they're attacking. They're so dumb it hurts...
I don't know if anybody knows this but Alexander actually spent a large part of his military campaigns trying to take down Persia. He eventually did do it but it took a long time.
all city states againts each other in an AI battle
I think Persia would have one if you had colonized betting in the last 2 maps
lets get it!
Alexander's big ability is stealing other players' cities. I only saw that happen once. Third match, Cyrus didn't deploy his "early game unique units" at all early. AI is A. ='[.]'=
Phillip II of Macedon took out Athens, but he made Sparta a puppet
That was much more like a draw so I think we still need to see another match!
for a second I thought Auckland was New Zealand but there is no civ for NZ
How can I watch Al only battles like Drew?
How do u get Macedonia for CIV 6
It’s a DLC
Every time I play or watch this game with AI, it is still baffling to me that the developer released this game with such an incomplete and broken AI. Their combat logic is so screwed... not even the mods can fix it.
can you do one of these for egypt/nubia?
You should do another AI only battle tsl map
Persia was the only Civ who I saw actually win a victory... So I'd say Persia edges it
One of the reasons why i hate Civ6 is because they made alexander look like bruce jenner
One small isthmus. The word is isthmus
Go Cyrus cuz I'm Persian and that will be the name of my first born son.
Persia used a Great General to convert barbs
The reason there was no war in match 2 could have been because of a religious conversion. Converting an AI to a religion makes them like you a lot more, so that could have dissuaded a war.
Cyrus the Great all day he's my favorite ruler in history. So im quite bias twards him. Alexander dis just finess his empire in our timeline. Instead of build hus own. Douch.
I am iranian
Do not disrespect historical figures
it is Alexander's destiny to be Lord of Asia 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
I LOVE THESE CIVS
caps lock
It's annoying seeing them repeatedly choose settling on tundra over far better adjacent land.
Them Motherfucking rebels ...
Gandhi could've easily taken Persia if Gandhi went for domination.
How do i set up ai only battles?
