Mike,
This is my all time favourite John Denver song. So many, many great John Denver songs that I love....but this is at the top of the list for me! I always request it when I see Jim Curry who does John Denver tribute songs and travel around USA with his band. Second favorite is "This Old Guitar" You have done a great cover on
"Rhymes and Reasons." Most people don't request this one as there are so many more well known songs and big hits that John had... It's the same for Jackson Browne songs. My favourite is "Song For Adam." Thanks Mike for all your wonderful songs.
I would love to see you in a concert venue one day and say "Hello" in person.

Fine version of the John Denver song, clear vocal and guitar production. Interesting lyrics that give an insight into Denver's psyche. He sounded like such an idealist, coming from the sixties and early seventies, but was very troubled underneath, the reality didn't match with his dreams.

Mike,Do you by chance know the Beach Boy's song called, "The Lonely Sea?"It is a beautiful sad ballad and not well known. I'm, always drawn to these sad songs I guess. You can hear it on UA-cam. Just type in The Beach Boys, "The Lonely Sea"I would love to hear you sing that song if you could. I know it is not folk but it really is a lovely ballad and you might like it. Probably easy to figure out the chords. Not a long song. It is one of their lesser known songs that Brian Wilson wrote long ago. Thanks, Linda
