This, when people intervene in the well being and Godly childrearing, is when I cannot make sense of waiting. That child only has one childhood and waiting means that is over with the damage caused.

Oh and I love it when Dr Stanley says '" Are you listening? Say amen" I have been listening to Dr. Stanley from I was 23 and I'm 67. That's a lot of years of mentoring and encouraging. I thank God and Im so grateful for him, his life. I think of how he was saved at 12, started preaching at 16, pastored. a church for 50 years and then went to be with his Lord at 90 years old. What an amazing life he lived with and for God among us here even though millions of us have never met him. Dr Stanley was so loxed because he taught the true word of God and his letters and messages were not only from the "Pastor's heart" they were also from "God's heart" I 25:44 will always remember what he always said " Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.

WOW!! Now I am curious!! Did you go through so many challenging situations that you wanted to give up?? I see that you are 67 and started so long ago in your 20's listening to Charles Stanley.
I was contemplating getting a lawyer and fighting back against an ungodly situation at work. I feel wronged and I kid you not, earlier tonight, I heard a still, small voice speak to me as I was contemplating how to deal with the situation and he said, "you must not fight". Dr. Stanley then talked about how we need to endure. I kid you not, that same voice spoke to me the other day and said, "you must endure". Please pray for me.
Trust in God's voice, bless you, it is a incredible blessing to hear God's voice and to know it IS God.
Keep trusting, trying and listening to God's voice.
Believe me it's difficult at times, but such a amazing saving moment we may Never realize till much later...

I too am enduring a job I once loved, but coworkers have driven me to hate.
I don't want to go back!
But I get up each day, put a smile on my face, & go.
I remind myself those people are my coworkers, NOT MY FRIENDS! I limit my dealings with them. NO office partys, etc. I'm polite, friendly, but I avoid them as much as possible.
I'm there to do my job, not be a friend to two-faced ingrates. I do my work, & I leave. Once I accepted this was the ONLY way to deal with them, my life got a lot easier.
I expect nothing from them.
I give nothing to them, save polite small talk about the weather. They aren't worth any further effort.
I tried to make friends when I first took the job. They made it plain, they didn't want my friendship. So I no longer offer it.
It IS a difficult work environment, bordering on a Hostile Work Environment. At my Evaluation last Spring, My supervisor said I talked too much, not enough, & had poor communications skills.... All in under 10 minute's!
Talk about a mixed message!
I must endure. For how much longer, only God knows. I take it day by day, shift by shift, & at times I survive 10 minute's at a time. God knows I am ready to leave not only this job, but this town, this county, & even this State!
I am waiting for the Lord's timing. My timing & choices brought me here. I no longer trust myself!
Today I received this message, & I know I have to endure a while longer. Again, only God knows how long! But I will wait on the Lord!
Thank you all for the words of encouragement. My work situation is very hard. I feel like I was discriminated against and I'm not getting the benefits of a full time employee even though I work full time. They won't recognize me as a full time employee so I can get my benefits after almost a year but they recognized another employee's status (who is a different ethnicity than me), even though we never had any meeting to discuss the change.
Apostolic Watchman I am really sorry you are experiencing this treatment. Let me just say, that in that past, I’ve had some unfair treatment in various situations and no fault of my own, I prayed earnestly to God and what “they” meant for evil, God meant for good! God made it right! He will make it right for you too in his timing! Be encouraged! Keep the faith!

This was such a timely message!! I'm here wondering why I haven't gotten married as yet I am 39, and I'm NOT! trying to rush!! just because ppl keep asking me, when are you getting married? Not only listen to God but there are times when he does not answer your prayers for your own good. You might wonder and be upset about it in the beginning but time will show you why. I have been blessed by many unanswered prayers.

I have to make a decision. This sermon is just perfect. Do I have the faith to wait? Sometimes we have this great faith for big decisions, like marriage or changes of job. But what about decisions that may not be that important, but may have a big impact in the future. Like changing my daughter from school. This is exactly what is going on with me. I declare with Faith that I trust God enough to love me so much to be involved in aspects of my life. I trust that God wants me to ask Him, I trust that God wants to give me direction. I trust that God wants to be glorified in my life on the big events as well as the smaller events, because He loves me and He wants me to have a relationship with Him. This is me preaching to myself. Thank You Lord.
Amazing, I had several dreams in which i got married and was weeping saying "oh no, i didnt even ask God about this marriage" such an eye opener. I was not even dating anyone at the time. So these dreams were a revelation of something to come. My heavenly Father is so attentive and merciful. He has been protecting me. I have to trust that when the time comes to marry God will let me know His will when I ask Him. And I MUST ask Him! I am not bothered about my own biological timing anymore. Resting in His will....

Being a young Christian I went over God's head and I still regret it. Being Christian for 30 years I'll never make that mistake again. I've been waiting 11 years for something that God promised me. I'm not going to mess that up.

Pray for me, please. Pray that I can trust and listen to God more, because mental illness has made it hard sometimes to tell the difference between the voice of God, and the devil terrorizing me with guilt. I’ve prayed for a long time for guidance in various situations, but have had trouble discerning the voice of God through all the fog, and fear I’ve made wrong decisions because of it. I’m sure He’s speaking, but I can’t hear Him, because I heard the undeniable voice of God when I was younger in my faith a few years ago. Even right in the midst of my religious breakdown, where I was trapped by feeling like I couldn’t be happy without sinning, I knew the voice of God when I heard it. Nowadays whenever I pray for guidance, I’m always afraid I won’t hear God’s answer, and either end up missing my window of opportunity to do God’s will, or do something I’ll regret, but this sermon helped a lot, and spoke to my heart. Didn’t mean for this to turn into a vent, but hey! Maybe someone can relate!
I can really relate to your struggle I'm experiencing this now. May God show you the way, guide you and support you through this challenge. Maybe we can pray to know how to proceed and learn our lessons. Hang in there. It's not easy but we are willing to do the right thing before God. That's something.

In 2012 my firstborn son and granddaughter chose to walk out of my life. No rhyme or reason. One day in my desperation and crying out to God I heard the still small voice "Let go and let God be God. In my perfect timing I will make all things right. All you need to do is trust and have faith" Well its 2021 and nothing has changed. In the meantime I have a new grandchild that I have not met. They have all family functions but not invited. We have tried to reach out but to no avail. I have prayed cried and asked God forgiveness if I did something, but God has been silent. My heart has been shattered tattered and the shame blame I feel doesn't change. Pastor Stanley message must have faith and wait! But why does it have to hurt so much 💔😢 I continue to hang on to the still small voice 😔
My heart and prayers go out to you. Some times people are just determined to be stubborn. But when it hits them, and it will, they will come back. I know because I did the same thing. I'm not proud of it...but I did come back. When I called my Dad, he just asked, " Where are you?". I told him I was in Pensacola, FL about to graduate from Aviation Electronics school in the Navy and I invited him to my graduation. He called me his Prodical Child. We were both crying. I felt led to share this with you and I hope it helps! My prayers are with you to hopefully soften the pain. Take care! I look as life as a wheel. There are times when your heart is on the bottom, it will eventually come back up. Hang in there. You're not alone. God stays by your side in your pain!!! Wish you and your family all the best!

Believe me, it is Always good and Right to wait upon the Lord
but there are very trying times in our lives, times we've done nothing to "deserve" and listening to God gets difficult because of our surrounding circumstances.
But, keep up your practice of Listening to God when it's easy, quiet, and obvious.. the difficult times are much easier when you can say Yes because of the weight lifting you did before the heavy "stuff"...
I’ve never met someone who likes waiting like you. You are certain to encounter times of desire when you don’t want to wait (job, house, partner). I encourage you to log these “wait successes” so you can turn to them. You’ll need that strength, I assure you. Continued blessings, my friend.
Then that means you've never hand to make real world decisions. When real life hits you will never enjoy waiting. You'll understand when you're an adult.

I've been unemployed for 9 years, sometimes I ask God why he hasn't bought me a job when everyone is know is leaving their jobs for a new one, yet I still haven't got one. But listening to this is encouraging, it's something I need as I have no money, but in God we have glorious riches.
Stay steadfast, the number nine represents the finish of a situation you may have incounter in life that needed to end... It's a test to see if you will stay with God are flea to wrong doing. Look at your situation from the eyes of Job. When he lost everything and the devil tried to get him to curse God but he didn't. Job stayed faithful and knew God had something more. Please believe when God bless you with a career and not a just over broke(Job). You see he was getting you ready for such a time and able to deal with the level of hate that will come plus he's more likely revealing and removing ppl out your life so no one can say it was them that help. Trust my brother I stood the test of time with God's grace and mercy, when the time came. God restored me on such a level that it shocked many, let God use you and your life to expose himself to you and those around you!!! This I know because it was my experience. Dear Louise, i was in a similar position and was waiting on the Lord for 5 years until i fell on the ground and started praying to my God that i will not ask for a job unless it is from Him. tht moment on things started to change for me. only when i gave up my will and placed it before the throne of His Grace, did i see how He started to change things...soon i got a lovely job. Our God knows exactly wat we're going through...dont give up. fall on your knees and look up to Him, your Heavenly Father cannot ignore your tears...remember nothing is hard for Him. This is so important. I'm 62 years young . But when I was 18 I thought my heart was broken . I now believe that that stone around my neck was not that at all but it was God saving me from desire that wouldn't have worked. In other words Gods no was the best way. This was encouraging to hear. I often struggle with being 27 and still single. I think Lord why haven't I had a boyfriend and why did those guys I thought liked me chase other girls instead? But being reminded that it's not me but just not God's best yet for me. Thank you Dr Stanley.
Amen! I'm in a similar situation, just waiting and asking God for the purpose of my singleness, so I can wait on Him and continue living for Him!
Mel, word of caution. Many and I mean many years ago I wanted to be married because all my friends and family members were getting married and I felt left out, so I met someone and dated for about a year, and on the day of my wedding I was dressing to get married, and I HEARD GOD LOUD AND CLEAR say these words to me "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS". Well I ignored what God asked me, it was God's warning and I went ahead that day and got married and have regretted it from day forth, truth be told here. Please listen and obey God and above all DON'T look at how old you are, or how many around you are getting married. I pray this helps you to wait upon the Lord.
@daniel letterman Daniel, I say this with much love to you, Dr. Stanley is ALLOWED to preach because GOD call and chose him to preach NOT man or woman. IF Dr. Stanley is separated that would NOT void what God has call and chose him to do as a preacher. IF Dr. Stanley is separated from his wife, that is a personal matter between Dr. Stanley, his wife and God. Simply as that. Word of advice, let's NOT be to quick to judge others. God can use anyone rather they be married, separated or divorced if HE chooses to, God is God and we humans are Not. God bless you Daniel.
Hi mel everything in its season altough we may seem desperate somtimes our time will get there hopefully but you are not alone in this we all have our fair share ive had some terrible experiences sometimes i feel like giving up no one to talk to no one to listen no one to even bother about it all but i feel graceful that i know the lord and his teachings
Try being almost 67 and all alone and been that way for about 40 years. My wife left me for another guy when I was a young man. Been alone even since. I dated, but nothing ever stuck. I gave up when I turned 55. I don't even ask anyone out any more.
Because God have prepared you in a more harder way and answered your prayer, you will even feel it from your heart, when you see with your eyes, "Faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible" Luke 1:37.

@@madeinusa5395 Hi, sometimes God will make us wait for longer, this can be hard from our human eyes, life can become even more harder than you can think, so low, so dry. We may even start to ask God so many questions,
but having faith in God help us to keep holding His hand in prayer, than finally when God answered your prayer, everything will turned into joy.

Years ago I started asking God before making major decisions. Now I include him in all decisions. Especially in areas that I have failed miserably. Obeying and waiting on him has changed my life. I too have not always listened or obeyed immediately to him because I wanted things my way. However, I didn't move and God revealed clearly to me the reasons why. I am eternally grateful that I didn't move forward with the wrong decision. THANK YOU LORD!!!! for your grace and mercy and patience with me. I'm still waiting on the Lord and leaning on him for guidance and direction in my life. I know when things come to pass it will be the best of everything. Praise God and wait patiently for him.
It's past midnight. My heart is heavy. So heavy. Everything seems to be against me. Financially too many responsibilities. I desperately ask God to help me to move out of situations that I have put myself into. I can't sleep. Concentrate on tasks. I desperately need peace. Am waiting on the Lord, and it's hard. Very very hard. Seems like everyone around me is progressing and better. Am not. I ask God for help. For his hand. Please hold me, 😢. Hold me so firm that I should never make decisions based on circumstances and feelings. It's costing me pain, heartbreak and more.
He's good God, I know he will help me. I pray for my kids to follow God. To be with him
I have been in the waiting room for 5 years.
Sometimes I feel disappointed, defeated and sad.
But I know, one day, just one day when I least expected it, victory will mine and all glory will be to GOD.
I trust the lord and then wait for his will. Coz wait without trust is useless. So have faith on him and then wait for his right time in our lives amen

So blessed to chance upon this sermon. Made a mistake not waiting on God, but by God's grace and mercy, He pulled me out of that pit, no matter how stubborn I was. Asking God to give me the characters I need in order to wait for Him properly. Waiting for God to bless me a partner in life that fits perfectly with me. I had just recorded an Album of my songs, and was putting together a Band to tour and promote the Album. My Best Friend was a Drummer, and had just bought new drums. God said, "He's not the one". I said, "He's my BEST Friend, he'll be mad, to say the least, if I don't ask him." I "Reasoned" it out, and asked him. He agreed, and within the FIRST MONTH, he became so angry that something didn't go the way he wanted, and he left us without a drummer, on tour, a LONG way from home. He told me he hated my guts, and has NEVER spoken to me since. God said, "I tried to tell you".
