He panics when he should just shoot them dead with the rapier. You can't be running when you have rapier split shot.

@@mysobacks nah, skadi won't interfere with mana. it reduces Heals, on HP. not mana. so even ursa has skadi it won't help except the fact that he has more stats.

None of the carries require late game. You can watch loads of pro games where minute 10-15 pos 1 already strongest on map

Even with the same pro players playing the same heroes over and over, it won't always end the way "you" watched it first time lol. Those games you meant heavily depended on how things went out during their laning phase which varies every game depending on what heroes you're up against or how well you can or can't adjust. Your statement "none of the carries require late game" is a bit shesh, totally ridiculous if i'm being honest.

There are loads of pos 1 heroes who have lots of impact absurdly early, just listen to this video at the health pool mentioned too early game. Medusa even is being picked offllane. Then you have heroes like ursa, sven etc. I don't understand what you mean
@@vgamedude12 i dont know how long you playing dota, but surely there is more about early or late game hero.. is about knowing your hero power at the current game.

I really like the direction your channel is taking, i still remember when you create videos about intricacies of dota 2 like inside X MMR mind. This type of videos unleash your creativity more imo. But i think with the addition with DPC today, it provides you with (hopefully) enough source to tap for a comprehensive gameplay breakdown like you did years ago. So i honestly think that is now also a viable path for your content. Great Content as always King!

@@daigosan9632 BM wont work, medusa can just kite it to CD and if he hits he only get 25% of damage return. Remember 1 mana = 4hp. BM is useless agaisnt Medusa.

Fun fact: in Warcraft 3, Mana shield behaves exactly like this rework. But this mana shield mechanics was too OP that time, that's why icefrog nerfed it into 50% damage redirected to mana. Now they are reviving what's OP before so this is to be expected...
Well, they nerfed her health pool as far as they could, and dropped her Strength gain to zero, so she's basically a StarCraft's Archon now.
Axe's ulti can kill her full health easily and Diffusal is far more effective on her than it used to be. And, of course, Anti-mage is still a great counter.

@@raystinger6261 axe ulti against medusa is mostly a meme, with even a few hp items suddenly your "counterpick strat" doesn't work anymore. few small hp items to stop level 6 dunk, then at level 12/18 medusa already has skadi and your dunk will never matter to her ever again
other suggestions like diffu/am are still very valid of course, although worth noting they aren't insta-win against dusa strats either.

Here's a random thought: it's better now to tread switch to int on Medusa when you get ganked than str
switch to int first then switch to strength once you run out of mana

if rapier will get a 30 minute timer, this is the reason why
Rapier should be flat-out removed or be made it to an item you pick up from roshan and have for 5 minutes.

i just remember when i use medusa as offlaner. But at 7.32 mana shield not blocking any pure damage. So im dead to OD, Enchan, and Axe culling, is this patch mana shield blocking "ANY" damage include pure damage?
Unstoppable Force + Immovable Object = This strat

90% win : 10% lose
or
10% win : 90% lose
But in your strats. You already have strategy before game starting. Its a good choice for a teamwork

I met IO medusa combo before, my team don't have the damage to deal with it. It's just a moving giant deathball.
I can see when I try this the enemy gonna have am, nyx, diffusal heroes, and disarms. Hecking love getting countered.
the nyx/riki/mk in this video all have diffusal btw, stand your ground soldier!

I did this when the medusa's mana shield was reworked to 98% dmg reduction. I bought arcane boots then divine rapier + arcane ring as 1st neutral item. My opponents gone crazy for my build. Their support tried to gank me but it was useless because I never ran out of mana and killed them with divine rapier. I won easily at 17 minutes
That was anxiety inducing
next update: Divine not stocked until 37 minutes
Try that by playing solo without party then tell me is it still works?

anyone wondering whats the counter of this, its axe and undying together. axe can kill medusa in 1 shot due to low hp. even if she builds strenght to prevent that, undying will steal and lower dusas hp to threshold.
Kinda funny that you're posting this strategy, I went up against an IO and Medusa doing the same thing. Problem for them because I was playing Axe. Medusa fed me so many stacks.
The Anti-mage didn't help after they got heart, but it was still funny.
Any good counter option for this build?
