Thank you for saving me from selling this unit! Just wish you explained to us that when you hold the hit button, you’re turning off the effects temporarily to talk to your fans which I find to be very useful.

Thank you for this crash course. I bought mine a while ago and forgot how to use certain parts of it. The official TC Helicon tutorials, while exhaustIVE are exhaustING. 🙈 This quickly helped to jog my memory. You're right, the slider is a bit of a pain, but overall, it's a cool unit. ❤️
ya for sure, they don't do a very good job teaching you how to use it.. did yours come with a physical manual or did you have to find it online too?
I don't think mine came with a manual, but I'd have to check. It's been a while. I've got the Switch 6 and it was literally just the pedal and a box. Lol

I received one the other day. Similar situation. Definitely a floor demo. The box was worn, the cables were missing, but they did give me the empty box they would have been in. They sent a universal adapter to power it. I sent it back. The company was on Amazon Pacific Music Group 3000 miles away. The gadget came from and went back to a Guitar Center right near my house
Okay this is the only amazing ideal vocal pedal for sure. Like a condensed vocal pedalboard!
You can also use a Switch-6 that has 6 switches and is just a little more expensive than Switch-3. Fantastic video!!!!

just ordered the TC Helicon VE for my glitch core lullaby’s , lol. Most of my effects before I got the VE was just me manipulating pitch & glitching out my vocals by clipping snips of my vocals and pasting repeatedly. but I been hearing been wanting to get more creative with my glitch work on my vocals so thanks for the review on this one. Imma pair the Helicon VE with my OP-1 by TE and see where that gets me before I try another one out
Think im about to buy one to record in the studio. This will save a lot of mixing time. Plus im hearing the tone feature adds some compression and eq so you can pick the way your voice comes through the mic.

Hello, thank you for your video. I just bought the switch pedal 3 for my HELICON touch 2. I only need it for my harmony vocals. I plugged the cable into the footswitch device in the helicon but it doesn't work. All I need is to hit the harmony. Can you tell me what to do? Do I have to program the footswitch or the Helicon itself? Thanks

Great and informative video! I have one question about the auto tune/pitch correction though. Can this be used (in your opinion) effectively in the studio to correct minor pitch mistakes for vocals while making it sound natural?
Honestly I would say yes it could be used for that purpose effectively
Thanks for the response! My problem is I'm using the old Roland VS2400 recording platform and I thought it would be nice to have some auto tune to make recording vocals go quicker. They have the Antare's auto tune plug in for my Roland but they are rare to find now, so I'm looking for a decent 2nd option.
@@chrispayne750 I personally use Fruity Loops (aka FL Studio) and use a plugin called "Newtone" which is a more stripped back version of auto-tune but it works great

Harmonies used live? Yeah...when a person has a built in vocal range! Mine is 2.3 octaves. Bari-Tenor. So this would suit me VERY well! Additionally, the looping for my guitar, my flutes and pennywhistles, fiddle, Native Flute and congas...bodhran, mando and banjo could ALL be overdubbed and saved!

Hi, im trying to connect my voicelive 2 touch into my audio interface (Apollo twin mk2) but i dont how to get it works.
i’ve Tried to connect the xlr cable(the jack one type)from the “xlr out” of the voicelive then put the jack in to guitar jack line of the audio interface but nothing, it doesnt work and Also tried to put the jack in to mic Line of the audio interface but any of that works, i mean i get the signal in my daw like a background noise but i cant ear any effects from the voicelive. Also i have connected the mic into the voicelive probably i’ve do it all wrong. I want to record the vocal harmony effect from the voicelive and make a song so bad 😩 and sorry for my bad english im from Europe lol.
Check out TC Clay(RIP). He really used live harmony with himself really well

Hi! Do you know if any generic footswitch would work on this looper? Or it has to be the tc helicon one.
Also I find that when I connect a guitar to this looper the sound comes out with a kind of chorus. Do you know how to avoid that lost of quality? Thank you 🙌🏻😌

Please, one question. I bought a used voicelive gtx. There´s an specific preset called Kanye Lockdown that is to make what you do at 15:12 in your video demo. But when I tried it, nothing happened. Can you help about what maybe happening?
i just turned on the auto-tune effect in the ''effects'' section, i didn't use that kanye lockdown setting.. maybe the autotune effect is weaker on that setting.. another thing you have to keep in mind is that you wont really hear the autotune effect with your own ears very easily.. it's something other people listening will hear or you'll hear it when you record yourself and play it back. it's hard to explain but try recording yourself on that setting and listen back i bet you'll hear the effect

hey - when lead voice is muted, it's also muted from loops ... question: is there any way to separate dry and wet signal AND keep the voice on the loops??

I want to ask how to make a custom preset, when i scroll through the presets and i reach 200 it stops and i cant reach 201 so i can't make a custom. What am i doing wrong?

Is the voicelive 2 floor pedal the same thing as the Voicelive touch 2?
No - they are related but the floor pedals have more guitar related stuff in them. The touch is more for vocals - it has some basic guitar stuff but its not part of the patches like the floor one. Have a look on the TC helicon website they have a good rundown.
Guitar Center did that me too with a different product I wanted something new and they gave me an open box that had clearly been used and the previous owners strand of hair was still in he box but wanted to charge me full price.

there isn't a pre-amp to my knowledge but you can usually adjust some form of EQ depending on what effect it is.

Possibly Sweetwater, or EBay (if in good condition and if the seller is honest or not). Another is Amazon. Another place to find this is reverb.

sure, in the sense that you would run the signal from the unit into your USB interface then into FL Studio

I think you're a pretty good singer! I couldn't listen to the TC Helicon R1 Voice Pedal Demo by Sergisonline. He was singing "What happened to our love, I don't remember why she left me" -- and I had to tell him she probably heard him sing!

it does, you can actually download software for it to save your patches on your computer and import patches from other places it's pretty cool actually, it's a feature i wished i had talked about more in this video

so i later found out mine was a floor unit that they threw in a box (it was a xmas present), it didn't have the manual or anything so if you actually get one brand new and not a demo unit, it may very well come with a power supply, but mine did not
