I made it only part way through my first load of rocks with my brand new harbor freight rock polisher and it wore them out. I tried to do a fix and it slid around. It's all sitting in a box, apart for over a year. Never saw any fixes for it before. I bought a cheap one from Amazon and it began slipping not long after starting the first load too. Bushings and how the belt fit on all these is an issue.
I've never seen any in depth bushing replacement videos, either, which is why I did this one. Do you think this'll help you correct the issue with at least your HF tumbler?
Get rid of the thumping noisy belt. Use a soft rubber o'ring. Works great. EPDM FDA O-Ring 70 Duro Black Model: E70343 Dimensions: 3-3/4"ID X 4-1/8"OD X 3/16"CS
Sorry about that. I thought I had included the link in the description, but I see I hadn't. It's there now, though. Honestly, thought, just run a search for any 8x16x5mm bearing and pick the one that works best for you.
You did realize that for a good portion of your video the action was out of frame because you weren't looking at a monitor while you video-ed everything. you probably did it on a cell phone like every other newbie on UA-cam. So you probably played the video back and said oh what the hell I'm not going to do it again. Mediocrity at its best!
Thank you for the insult. No, it was on the GoPro, and yes, the screen went dark as I was filming, and most of what wasn't on frame wasn't important to be seen. The audio at those points was what was important so I left the footage in. And no, I couldn't do it, again, because the work had already been done, and couldn't be undone to be redone to meet your high standards and expectations.
There is no need for that. He is putting this video out to help people. If you didn't like it you could have just clicked off of it but you stayed and decided to watch it and be a dick about it.
Great demonstration, I will do that and pass it on to my son in law and cousin, thanks.
Awesome! I hope it helps.
That was a great demonstration. Now I know I can always go back and watch when I need to replace these parts 😊
Glad to help! It is a fairly easy upgrade, so I hope people aren't intimidated by it.

I've had a lot of people say that. If I ever go back to those tumblers, I'll give the o rings a try.
I guess now I’ve got to figure out what a snap ring is…😂
Lol. My dad also called them an E ring...I think.
link for the bearings please
