nice one, cool bit of engineering. Jez, Scallion, formerly Camber Custom tattoo machines. I gave up building after 15 years, made over 850 coilers with no foreign parts, all handmade, but people just want chinese made rotary junk these days, shame, the skills are being lost. Take care dude
I've been tattooing for 8-9ish years & I'm not from the west. first two years I used coils.. the 3rd yr onwards i used a pen rotary(tried cheap and the expensive ones) and they're shit on slingin ink in (takes too long/multiple passes) especially higher groupings. two yrs ago I returned to coils and eventually started building them myself. own built machines are more in tuned with my handspeed and pressure and needle groupings.. that's y I'm never goin back LOL (unless a rotary comes out with customizable give & power I'll stick with coils its just much faster)
@@dreizenit7758 thanks for that, nice to hear from you. I've never liked even getting tattooed by someone using rotary, just doesn't seem right, but each to their own, I always found coils to have more feel so you knew what was going on but I was better at building them than using them which was why i started all those years ago. take care, stay safe, keep up the good work

The holes on top are lined up just right to put the tool in, then you can unscrew it slide it out and change the springs.
