I LOVE YOU
Jamal is a great down to earth American who has brought in a lot of new developments and has contributed tremendously in the Zambian basketball community. He coached and mentored me before I left for the US on a full basketball scholarship at GCCC Panama City, Florida. From there I was recruited (yet on another full basketball scholarship) to a university in South Carolina in the NCAA D-2 on the Peach-belt conference. I am the first female in Zambia to get a full basketball scholarship to the US. I also worked with Jamal under Miles and Associates program, a student mentor-ship program encouraging students all over Zambia on how to excel through both academics and sport combined. Thanks Jay! Keep doing what you doing.
Wow your an amazing testament!
Please encourage him to get his Zambian citizenship. The continent must not lose him.
Scholarships do not easily come by, well done on your hard work.
Go Gurl! You already made History. Jamal is clearly a great man (all Jamal's are great😉) & you are making him proud by making his good works a fulfilled & gratifying investment with a good return. God bless your education, career & total future.
What a Blessing!
Highly intelligent black people is a breath of fresh air. I have been planning a move myself
Very True A Breath Of Fresh AIR.
Mista Sandman welcome in advance
Please move and stay there... No one will miss you
I’m going to West Africa this year.
Jamal has done a lot for Zambian youth in the arts and sports! He is simply an amazing guy
Do u know this guy on a personal
@@sageAgainstTheMachine Yes Sir
If every African American contributes to Africa his knowledge, skills and whatever he got. Africa will transform itself.
Some of us are coming back home
@@harveylewis4201❤🎉🎉🎉
And as africans we have a part to play in welcoming our brothers and sisters well and learn from each other
Africa to the world 👍👍
And Jamaica "to the world" ;)
Proud to be African

Daadir noor Agreed!
I'm an AA, but I consider myself African and I agree!👏👏👏

I'm considering moving to Zambia from South Africa, Zambia is a country that wants to improve and wants to better the lives of its people and all I want is to help Zambia flourish
Very encouraging... We are moving back.. Amazing
No we are not.
Lily Mutamz Greetings from BAG in The Gambia
I was born in Zambia stayed for 15 years. That was during president Kaunda's time. I just loved Zambia.
I'm Black Brazilian and I really like to watch these videos about Black people moving back to Africa. Black Brazilians should start think the same. Back to the roots
All the best man, I’m thinking of relocating to Zambia too...
I love this brother and am inspired by him!
6 days to get wodemaya to 300k..pls let's push this young guy to make history.. He really done a fantastic job under the year review.. Africans we can do it...
Am saying my prayers for 30000subs.
We did it!!
Eric Newman DONE!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I just found out by looking up statistics on travel from the US to other parts of the world this year that Africa is the least visited annually by US citizens. Only between 1-2% of those who travel outside the US each year go to Africa, which is really a shame. Support Africa if you can.
@kiks lilo How can you generalise Africa though? So Uganda it's Africa or country in Africa?
jieli bai Greetings from The Gambia
Kiks lilo,
I am sorry but if you have been watching Wode Maya you will see that African countries are not all the same.
I am sorry but Uganda is Uganda. Only speak from what you know. Do not generalise.
Thank you. Be blessed
@kiks lilo Maybe you should come to Chicago and experience safety.
jieli bai I’m American I traveled to Gambia and met my husband there
I’m from Tampa Florida and I visited 🇰🇪 Kenya in 2000. I simply love the vibes in Africa.
I like this guy he is a "do-er" and not a "talk-er". Also he is not overly critical of others that does not follows his footsteps unlike other diaporians from the United States on youtube, and "we know who they are on youtube", but have a pragmatic approach to people choices whether they want to relocate to the continent or not. He is a very smart guy, and really helping and accomplishing something other than "talking", but rather "walking" the walk.
Brian you said it 100% right
right at least he is actually HELPING
Brian Gibson:. I couldn't have said it better myself. I don't like when people try and lecture you about coming to Africa because they are there. This guys just said do your research. Not enough people want to do research they would rather just fall in line. Research is the key.
Brian Gibson Greetings from The Gambia
I live in E. Baltimore. Born and raised in the DMV. Creating a way to get to Ghana or a place on the continent that God leads me to.love the concise interview.
Greetings from The Gambia and formerly from Clarksville TN.
Yeah.... Africa is just a beautiful place to live in.
We need to learn more about his story!! Come on Wode.. you have to keep sharing these story of Black Americans making lives in Africa.
Yes
Check his channel, he has MANY. We're in the midst of another Back to Africa movement like the last one in the 60s and 70s.
I agree
He's from my hometown! Same side of town too. Very inspiring.
Wonderful Jamal. My grandson would have done well there. Wode maya you did it again. Another successful informative video. The diaspora presence in Africa is reassuring. Happy Holidays and enjoy your mum and family. ☃️☃️☃️❄️❄️❄️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✝️🤗🥰
VERY DOWN TO EARTH....HUMBLE MAN ...VERY REFRESHING! GOOD JOB WODE.
What more can I say Wode...you are the man!! Keep connecting Africa and the greater diaspora!! #1LUV

I know for sure that the Zambian people are very appreciative of your work.
Wow this deep I just decided to watch this video I'm here in Baltimore and that's a biggggg move. Very inspiring
Great Son of Africa Woda Maya, Check the impact Africa to the World Movement is producing, it's really Awesome. Our Afro Americans brothers and Sisters are really Happy for the Movement. There Ancestors Mother Continent awaits them with Open Arms full of Love, Time is Now. Br Jamal and many other Afro Americans that have already relocated to many different parts of Africa have the story to tell, come back and you will see how the inner peace will visit you because this is where you belong. God bless.
I been planning to move for 4 years now and finally is happening June 2021 am coming to Motherland
thats awesome. which country bro?
Welcome home brother. Africa is your birthrite. You may have been born and raised in the diaspora, but your roots, your ancestors, have been Afrikan long before your forced sourjern in Amerikkka. Do not accept the false narrative that Afrikans hate you or do not identify with our AA, south American or Caribbean brothers and sisters. We know that we are one. And we know that you are one of us. Come back home. This is your land. You are welcome anytime anywhere on the continent. Come home!!
Big up👍🏿
Welcome home bro

Thanks for selling my country to the world.
Jamal is blessed with a wonder spirit. He vibrates high by making a career by developing other people's career opportunities. He's not Mentally Enslaved...He values being in an environment in which others treat him well. Courtesy, Dignity, Respect go a long way.
Short, sweet and to the point. Well done, Wode Maya!
Great job brother. Africa is beautiful and safe.come home and experience my fellow African Americans.
Wow, I'm really impressed by how long you been living in Zambia..... good to hear. Also, try and visit Ghana🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇺🇸🇺🇸 because we are also coming in 2020.

I checked out most of the globe, now i I will check out Zambia! Thanks ase
""Don't stay in the diaspora because you don't have an option but because it's part of the plan"" this is my watch word every day in this foreign land
Wode maya should be a professional journalist. Good guy!
He is! Those working for BBC and CNN are not the only professionals. There are a number of journalists working for smaller operations or independently too.
Glad he is doing great and love Africa. Hope others will join and feel welcomed home.

Thank you for loving our country.
Woda thanks, br Jarmal has already reconnected to his roots, Africa is where home is guys over there, all African Americans come back home. Your beloved Continent, Mother Africa Yearns for You.

This is good. Am so proud of Zambia. You did well Jamal. Thanks Maya
Very insightful.
It's great to see African Americans heading forward to Africa to contribute when you see people like this making these moves you gotta wonder what's really the hype in staying in America when there's so many fresh opportunities to start from in Africa
You got the point
Wow, pretty amazing that Jamal dedicated his life to giving back to Africa, when he really didn't have to. I pray for blessings on him and his endeavors. As for the Wode Maya guy (1st time I've watched his channel)...your mom must be so proud of you. Blessings to you as well!
My friend from Poland living in Livingston he is a catholic priest missionary working with difficult youth. Greetings🍻
Aye!! Someone from my the DMV making moves in Africa!! I love it.. I can’t wait to get there and do the same💯❤️💪🏽💪🏽
wow 🤩 thank you very much, brother, for what you are doing in Zambia 🇿🇲 💕
that's what i like to see, thank you wode maya, and thank to our american brother for doing what is necessary for our community in this world. as an african, A BLACK, i'll do my part too
Nice you are welcome family.
Just reached out to this Brov.
I guess Africa is a land of hoops to certain African Americans. We thank you from America for keeping our minds entertained with sports from talent in Africa. Not me but to my fellow citizens I am saying thanks.
As a Zambian I'm proud that we are a peaceful loving and welcoming country.
I'm even more proud to be African because our diversity is comparable to none
Excellent interview Woda! He gave great reasons and information on how and why he moved to Africa/Zambia. He told us who he was, where he was from and when and why he moved to the continent. Love that he took advantage of his options and left this racist country behind. Shout out back to you from the DMV. For those that don't know that means the three state area of the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C), Maryland and Virginia. I'm born and raised in D.C. I love that he's giving back to the youth of Zambia by operating the basketball camp. It's about time that African youth take advantage of their height and ball handling skills to play basketball. They can go to college free in the U.S. on basketball scholarships, then go on to the NBA and become millionaires. Thanks for the informative interview Woda.
We want those millions to be made in Africa.... For Africa to compete at world level not to leave motherland to make millions elsewhere
🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲all the way

Wow! Inspiring!
Love this African American's down to earth attitude so rare.
@D&B just like I'm wary of African immigrants. A lot of bad stories about them, even by Caribbeans.
It's not as rare as you think, you've probably been around the wrong people.
Mr. Atkins Look forward to meeting you someday.
