Correction: The Joker + Pokémon Trainer glitch with Arsene meter is still in the game! It just doesn't work if you use *handicap* instead of actual damage (it never did).

Terry is also the first character to feature a traditional charge mechanic. his up special features this and grants him invulnerability on start up.

Darkest Lariat does NOT last longer. The wording of the patch notes might imply this, however, the actual truth is that the first hitbox lasts slightly longer.

It finally fucking happened
So, Mac received his own series at the start of the Original NES, have a great sequel on the Wii, and got into Smash Bros as an assist trophy in Brawl, continued as a character in Sm4sh and Ultimate he received a buff when Smash Ultimate has released and now Nintendo is trying to forget one of the creations that Mac was :| Why?
Becuase hes the worst designed character in smash history
Thank you for saying that @three step ahead. Mac main needs to understand nintendo can't really buff him more, better recovery, well you guys gotta accept that heavy armor on smash has to go, or ko punch meter doesn't go up when you lose.

Hey! Just wanted to shed some light on one of the robin buffs you guys said was unclear:
Smash attack inputs refer to both smash attacks on the ground and inputs for levin aerials. A common practice for robin players to recharge levin faster is to buffer SH fair, and then autocancel a fair on landing to get 2 smash attack inputs in one jump. It took a few cycles of this to recharge levin, and the new buff reduces that time by about 1 sword swing. Nothing major, more of a QoL thing.
Smash attacks have always recharged Robin's levin, they just made it more noticeable and potentially viable. You can spam short hop up air (smash input) and then fastfall to quickly recharge.

Really love the new Mac buffs, great to see Nintendo gave him nothing at all.
Wanna hear something insane? Terry’s up tilt will true combo into Power Geyser from 0 to kill percent, and does more than 42%.

A little upset that Ness didn’t receive some kind of nerf to his PK Fire or that Banjo’s down throw doesn’t keep opponents buried a little bit longer but Robin, Incineroar, and DK getting buffs is more than enough for me.
Good shit, surprised there was no Mewtwo, Isabelle or Sheik buff, but hot damn am I glad Puff finally got some love
Terrys side Smash is VERY strong. It can break the opponents sheild in I think medium-large size.
It's like they watched Core-A Gaming's video on why buffs are better than nerfs.
I really hope the balance team is responsible enough to avoid power creep.

Nice video my doods. Never understood why people call starting frame of an attack and active frames of attack other names like: landing lag, or a move with a lot of lag...
As a Kirby main, I am pretty pleased about these buffs. They gotten a good 90% of the problems that were wrong with this character fixed up and tbh, its really satisfying. Not complaining here.

So many of these changes are so minor they need to show it in slowmo to prove a move is actually faster. The low tiers need to get some cheap stuff to actually improve.
I'll say this:
Terry has both the COOLEST Down B in the game, and the coolest Final Smash.

First thing I did after booting up post patch was hop in training mode as Joker, since I'm awaiting the day my boy inevitably gets nerfed
Rainstorm is still lagless, Bair is still Bair, Akechibox hasn't been fixed. business as usual
I really hope he does projectile/counter characters arent that fun to watch imo and his dominance online and in comp is kinda meh
BUFF Falcon, Marth and Sheik. That's all we care about (also, Jigglypuff some more).

I can't use Ryu and Ken even if my life depends on it but I just played Terry for 18 minutes and I have mange to do all the imputs correctly, combo everything, kill combos etc. An actual skill imput precision base character I can use.
Mewtwo needs to be buffed more than almost any other character. His hurtboxes are too big and his moves need larger hit boxes. His up B needs to be slightly faster too.
That explains why robin was magically hitting me
Also terry’s jab and down tilt are broken it almost combos to all his specials esspecially the buster wolf and power giewser

even tho this is a small patch, im really digging the changes. love how low tiers are being buffed instead of mostly high tiers being nerfed. here's hoping the entire cast will will fun to play as soon!
I still think some characters could use slight nerfs ( *cough cough* Joker while Arsene is out), but yeah, I'm glad they're focusing on buffs. It was just a bit too late for Ivysaur.

@@epiccarrot88 that's a bit overdoing it, Arsene is as fine as it is. OPs statement, was already justifiable for how other characters option are just immensely more then others. More buffs, not nerfs.
@@Arilinity Agreed. Arsene is basically what if Joker hit kinda like Ganon for ~30 seconds or less. (Also, Joker is gimp-able. He has flaws. Learn, love, and use them people. ) I'd love to see more buff rather than nerfs too. Gets upsetting to see so many things be changed to make something worse. Maybe this patch is the start of a new array of buffing updates. :p Here's hoping.
@@Arilinity I think a lot of what Arsene does is fine. I just think dash attack and forward smash could use a little toning down because of how spamable they are in casual play. Maybe make the counter kill 5% later too. Everything else is fine.

I'm happy about buffs to my DK, but objectively Doc needs buffs more.
The 3 BJ mains have had it the worst. At least characters like Dr. Mario are bad because of a few major flaws, which gives them a chance to win if the opponent doesn't know the matchup well enough to exploit them. Bowser Jr. is just an all around terrible character, so even if your opponent doesn't know the matchup, they still likely have nothing to fear.
@@zachs.4371 I remain optimistic that Bowser Jr will get some buffs as well as Doc and many other characters.

Yeah yeah, Terry is cool, BUT THOSE KIRBY BUFFS ARE SO MUCH COOLER
And they buffed the main problem with kirby outside its low air speed: The mediocre frame data it has in air, making it bad in the air despite having low falling speed and 6 jumps.
PD: Jigglypuff can now autocancel every of his/her aerial moves in a short hop, much like in Brawl and Smash 64. That's a huge, well deserved buff, specially when you consider the raw damage and combo potential it has now.

LARAUJO bro I wish mac would get buffed. I main Mac mainly because it helps me not get frustrated with this game, as I don’t put pressure on myself to win fights, but I wish he was stronger
He's already powerful. Stop playing exclusively on Battlefield stages and letting your opponent throw you off the edge. Little Mac is great on walkoffs and the new KoF Stadium.

Once again, all these are characters are showing off their buffs to none other than Marth. What a tragic situation for him. We're on version 6 and he still doesn't have a purpose!

@@pikster2155 Incineroar's can completely change the tide of the game and you can even combo out of it (not sure how true that still is in 6.0.0).
Incineroar's counter comes out faster than any other counter (frame 3; that's a frame faster than some characters' airdodges, like Jigglypuff). This means it's a combo breaker.
Counters can be good, definitely, without a doubt.

my main's K Rool and Incineroar got buffed and im so happy!
I was so happy with k rool's buffs. I'm a solo k rool main, and have been solo maining him since launch, and will forever remain solo maining him for the rest of ultimate's life span. He felt like a completely new character and blunderbuss is so fast it's exciting.
