As a person who has 3 cats all with vastly different personalities, 1 thing is constant with all of them. Don't screw with their food. Don't suddenly change brands, amount, or feed times. Not only are their systems easily thrown off & can possibly cause real health issues. But cats are evil geniuses if unhappy.

He knocks the kitchen metal garbage can over, eating even rotten crap, spreading things throughout the entire apartment. He has gotten up on the counter to get our Chili's to-go boxes, eating two dinners. He got into a new bag of red vines licorice. We have no real way to lock him out of the kitchen, so it is an ongoing problem.
