"...they don't specialize in marine upholstery but because of that they are a little cheaper..."
truer words
If you haven't I would consider converting the Island Packet to external chain plates. It looks like other IPs have done it and it would be nice to be able to inspect them.
I did consider that but the builder Bob Johnson said that the hull was not designed for external chain plates and that they should be avoided. Thanks for watching!
Total Boat is a great company and im glad to see them supporting more and more channels. I've been buying there products for a few years and have zero complaints. There total boat fairing compound is pretty damn nice too.
would've loved to try them out, but apparently they don't do international shipping yet :/ I think their prices would be pretty competetive even with the shipping fees.
I agree. Used jd total boat for my entire refit. Great products and great service.
Nice job on the lens
Great job on the hatches 👌🏼
nice to see you back.
oh yeah!
Happy to see you in action again !! Like it. The new ports are looking 👍 great. Cheers from Belgium 🇧🇪
about time!
Thank you! Nice video!
Now I have to check out your other channel too
Always great to get your updates. I have a hatch to refurbish so thanks for the demo. And I'm hitting subscribe on your other channel.
Dang. As always-incredible work!!
What type of acrylic did you use and where did you get it?
what do you guys think of the total boat epoxy?
I sure could’ve used that discount code for TB a year ago ;). Nj guys
Hi , great video I really enjoyed it. One question: why acrylic, not polycarbonate ?
It is supposed to be more scratch resistant and uv resistant. I think either would be fine though. I used poly for the large windows on Corky.
:)
Do NOT show any Makita tools I haven't seen so far ... this turns into a nightmare for my bank account.
A bit late with a responce but wanted to say thank you for putting the video together. We also own a Island Packet and your video got me motivated to change out all of the hatch lenses. S/V Drifter
