Todays Lesson: Parts of speech
As he said there are 8 parts of speech but today we learnt 4 parts of speech.
Those are:
1. Noun:- it represents the name of the person ,things, animals and place.
--it can be served as a subject or an object.
-----Example: Abebe, cat, Addis Ababa
2. Adjective: are word which describe the noun and most of the time it appears before the noun.
-it answers the questions "what kinds of___"?
Example- a white board, White is an adjective
it also answers the question how much or how many -Numerical adjectives.
Example:-There are many students follow Unique basic English tutorials. How many students follow? Many -so this is an adjective
3. Verbs: - words it describes the action or state
There are two types of verbs 🤔these are transitive and intransitive verbs.
Transitive verbs answer the question What?
4. Adverbs: - Words which describes the verbs and also answer the questions How?
He ate the food quickly. How he ate the food? Quickly!!-adverb
