Super cool vid mate, I’ve got to get ahold of those Taipans, just shipping $ to Australia holding me back! Same methods here mate including OCD, just four fletch for me with 3 inch shields.
I was a die hard axis guy for a while. Once landcaster stopped selling individual aluminum so I could make my footers I was pondering what to do. Was very happen when these came out. I’ve been liking them a lot. The thing I find most impressive with them is there forgiveness though.
Technically yes. I know weight to the nock end is more drastic as well. However I find wrap vs no wrap, nock collar, and or light nocks don’t typically affect things enough for those shooting fingers. Not saying it won’t but on average most won’t notice:
@@thephoenicianarcher5267 If you do enough you can make a small correction, but don't count on it offsetting tip weight much. it's very subtle. Equal to about 1/8" of shaft at most. If you wrap, add nock collar, etc you are still not counteracting a bare shaft tune that is say 1-2 inch "weak" (bare shaft crookedness.) WHat you're largely doing is weakening the string attack with some weight. I like to bare shaft with no wrap and have it a little weak, then add the wrap and collars and see if that does anything (a long wrap will be more noticable than say a short heavy reflective wrap I think). After that I start adding my string dampeners back one at a time and by the time I fletch them it looks like CGI. My last round of shafts was 6 airstrikes and 6 RIP XV, super mega light shafts that I struggled to get to 8 GPP but I added 75g HITs, 200g heads, cut them as short as I reasonably could, and started adding weight at the back. I read about guys putting paracord in there to get the GPI they wanted, I didn't quite have to but added a third set of paracord string silencers, which helped anyway.
So fresh, so clean
Great video Sensei Schafer

Brother Adding weight at the back of your arrow will stiffen your spine?
