The misunderstanding was regarding an issue where Kumar Sanu suggested where it would be good for a different singer to win the Filmfare award for best singer rather than him again that year, which he most likely would’ve won for ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam’. That song was by far the most popular song at that time…. And still is to this very day. I think Yash Chopra saw this as arrogance, ungrateful and betrayal from Kumar Sanu’s side and decided to never use him for Yash Raj movies. Though Aditya Chopra did let Anu Malik use Kumar Sanu once again for the movie ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. So not using Sanu wasn’t a Jatin-Lalit choice but more an issue with Yash Chopra… IMHO Jatin-Lalit would definitely have used Sanu for more songs under the Yash Raj banner if Yash Chopra didn’t have an issue. I would love to see Kumar Sanu and Jatin-Lalit once again create the magic of ‘Tujhe Dekh’ for an Aditya Chopra directed movie if an opportunity should ever arise.

Still in 2021 we are feeling the Nasha of " Pahela Nasha", " Wada Raha Sanam", "Seene Me Dil Hai", "Mera Chand Mujhe", "Aae Kash Ke Hum", "Ankhon Se Dil Me Utarkar"...unlimited creations !!!! No one can forget that divine melodies created by you and Lalit sir and finished by TIGER of Bollywood Music Industry, unparalleled, huge gift of GOD ....Kumar Sanu sir. When I met Lalit sir last year I reminded him the same. Still in 2021 we are feeling the Nasha of " Pahela Nasha", " Wada Raha Sanam", "Seene Me Dil Hai", "Mera Chand Mujhe", "Aae Kash Ke Hum", "Ankhon Se Dil Me Utarkar"...unlimited creations !!!! I'm so happy that you and Lalit sir are reunited in Feb'20 and the concert was amazing. Praying to God for bringing back that era. Request you to also pray for that. Always respect and love you 🙏🙏♥♥
