Roosters or Hens?? How to tell young Cornish chickens apart

I believe in the younger chicks longer tail equals hen and short or almost no tail is roo.

If these are Cornish Cross meat chickens they can’t live past ten weeks because of how fast they grow(sad) so why would it matter?

Exactly... I didn't know that's what they were until about that time! But in our County, no roosters are allowed unless you have 7 acres -- no exceptions. So it does matter for that (dumb) reason!!

Those aren't Cornish, they are Cornish Cross broilers. They are very different.
