Whenever I watch stories about people in ambiguous unsettled uncommitted relationship for any period more than a year and hear about their partner changing their mind being a shocker - I am like , 'yeah kinda on you to trust and expect a lot from a person who doesn't want to commit to you' If you're not on same page and espl for years, then it's on the person who is dissatisfied to rectify the situation and not sit still and expect all to go smooth... I've friends who after deciding with their partners are comfortable about being child free, remain in relationship without marriage and even one who is in a polyamory type relationship... It all comes down to this - does your partner treat you with respect and is aligned to your expectations of future, be it be marriage or not... If not GET out of that relationship!
