No concuerda. La niñez de Los 80s no se puede comparar con nada. Música, caricaturas, películas, etc. la disfrutamos más que los adultos. Tuvimos todo!. Y la guinda de la torta fue que vivimos los 90s a full, la última gran época!!

You are right that the German audience was often numb during such TV shows. As you probably noticed these people in the audience were in their 30s or 40s. I am almost sure they didn't know who Debbie Gibson was. Debbie was not very popular in Germany. A teenage audience would probably have reacted better.
