Had a 77, I loved that bike. Wish I could find another.
There's many to be had but so often they are in sad states.
My first bike was a 1978 XS650! Mine didn't have a choke lever either. I just held the choke open with my finger.
No joke, that might be my old bike. I traded it with some cash for a 56 Ford about 11 years ago!
