You and Chris should do a taste test video of coffee from different places and see if you can guess where they're from, like Tims, Starbucks, McDonalds, a fancy coffee shop, etc.! That would be fun!
Different places use different levels of roasting as their default. I don’t know if that would make it more challenging or immediately give away the answer. But I’d love to watch and find out!
My grandma has been making Jell-O grapes her whole entire life and she passed down the tradition to me, you need to completely cover the grape in the Jell-O powder and then put it in the fridge not the freezer otherwise the grape will become frozen and it won’t taste as good! Hope this helps!
The “it doesn’t taste like a liquid” comment was spot on, since the recipe for whipped lemonade is basically the same recipe I have for lemon mousse. 😂 Great video, as usual! Love you guys!
Imagine all the people that actually tried the ice cream hack in their car! We should all send lots of positive thoughts to those that are still in the process of getting rid of the sticky mess all around their cup holders 😂
I've been wanting to try the whipped lemonade. So glad Rachel is our self-appointed guinea pig for trying out new recipes 👀 Lemonade milkshake still sounds good to me 🤷
I feel like you need to have more collaborations with your family members, especially Chris. You guys are relationship goals, and I can only aspire to be that with my boyfriend
Fun fact: iced coffee in Germany is actually normal black coffee that you put one or two scoops of vanilla ice-cream in. You can get it in cafés or gelaterias or even in many restaurants. I don't understand why someone would put ice cubes into coffee. Because where is the flavor? It just waters down the coffee. Also you don't take the ice cream out of the coffee 🙈 you either let it melt completely or slowly eat it out of the mug.
This sounds odd but I bet freezing whatever milk you like and using that instead of ice would be a 10/10 for iced coffee. I like watered down coffee bc I don’t like strong coffee 😅 I’m a milky coffee person
Watching this hack I asked myself the whole time "Isn´t this just a regular iced coffee, which you can get at every corner?" It took me a solid minute to realize that the german (or rather the italian) version including ice cream instead of ice cubes isn´t popular in the US.
Coffee with ice cream is pretty common where I'm from. The trick is good coffee and good ice-cream (preferably gelato) with either read vanilla bean or chocolate. You just put a scoop on top like a root beer float and let the magic happen.
@@pamelajohnson4082 We do have affogato too, but the drink I'm talking about is not an expresso, its an americano (so expresso with water like in this video)... doesn't really have a name we just ask for a tall black coffee with a scoop of ice cream (I think a few places call it an americano float). Jello grapes is something I’ve done for a long time. Grapes need to be wet when adding the jello powder. I never freeze the grapes solid. I put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so they’re cold but not rock hard.
I just love frozen grapes plain! My grandma used to live in palm springs CA and it was so hot. She would bring us frozen grapes when we were in her pool.
Regarding the lemonade, that's actually the same filling of the frozen lemon cake we make and home. Graham crust for the base and the filling (lemon, cream and condensed milk, no ice) and to the freezer! Its honestly our favourite summer dessert of all times!
the whole time rach was testing out the coffee and lemonade drinks i was freaking out because the smores nachos were still in the oven and i didnt want her to burn them lol
For the grapes, if you put lime juice on them and then put the jello powder on top it's sooo much better than just the jello alone! It gives it that tart flavor!
a good dessert to try is this dish my mom used to make for valentines day when i was young: 1 bag of frozen raspberries, tub of cool whip, and 1 package of raspberry jello. just toss it in a bowl and chill for like an hour. it's SO good.
You should do the combo flavor with all the jello! It reminds me of a drink we used to “make” at summer camp by mixing all the flavors of drink available at the dining hall. 😎Ah, the memories!!!!

I'm from the Philippines and we have the coffee float from McDonald's where instead of rootbeer, it's coffee with ice cream on top and drizzle of chocolate. The idea is similar to what you did with the coffee just iced one ❤️ ❤️❤️
The ice cream coffee is something you can buy in Ice cream parlors in Germany in the summer. It’s a huge seller and so delicious. You can also just get your favorite vanilla Ice cream, scoop 2 balls, add your black coffee and add whipped cream and shaved chocolate. It’s soo freaking delicious. It’s called “Eiskaffee”
Ah, the old coffee and ice cream trick. As a teenager in the 90s with a shiny new French Press and a tub of Neapolitan ice cream, I thought I had invented something new and world changing. Finding out that Italy had long ago discovered the Affogato was rough.😂

A pinch of xanthan gum sprinkled into any frozen drink will help it be more creamy and less icy. It will also keep it from separating into a flavor layer and an ice layer as it sits. I use it in frozen coffee and margaritas, but it will work in frozen lemonade as well. It loves to clump though, so be sure to sprinkle it evenly on the surface of the drink (avoiding the blades & sides of the blender - the clumps are unpleasanty gooey).

You just add 1-2 packets of sugar free lemonade powder to 1 cup whipping cream depending on how strong you want it. Hit it with a hand mixer or whipper until you get stiff peaks but stop before you get butter. Then you just mix a heaping scoop in with ice water.
