Have You ever tried using pads made by M-Audio? Whats your opinion on them? I am considering buying a used mpc 1000 but already tried the MPD 24 and I must say that the pads were not sensitive on the edges (sometimes an unclear hit didn't trigger the sample). I really liked the pads on my M-Audio Axiom 25 keyboard wich were very precise. Any observations on mpc 1000 pads?

Axiom 25 pads are like hitting blocks of wood. Try a MPC 2000XL. I enjoy those more than 1000 pads.
Just replace your MPD or MPC pads with thick sensitive mpcstuff pads best move I ever made on my MPC1000.
