Up here in the Lower North Island ,Today is a very light Frosting of Snow. The Sea looks brown .I guess the River must be up ?, and has flowed out through the mouth into the Sea. I don't think you would want to go Fishing in that Sea at the moment. There is a slight Southerly , the Waves are not vey Spectacular today. OOH !! I just looked up and now there is a Beautiful Stunning RAINBOW ! The Sun has come out and the Sunlight is now shinning and highlighting the Sea foam of the waves. Thank you for sharing your film clay.

My parents would love you haha being south african they love snoek! I personally hate the flavour of snoek but I'm just surprised you even know the name haha by the way snoek and barracuda are not the same fish. They cone from the same family but they are two different fish.

Nz is a totally separate island many hundreds of miles away from Australia. We have our own government and currency. Our native people are Maori and theirs are the Aborigines.
Don't mention the pukes too much. They are a fish and game bird. You need a duck shooting license and can only shoot them with a shotgun in season. They are bloody pests tho. Do a catch and cook on them. Don't know anyone yet who likes the taste. Apparently you boil them for 12 hours in a pot with a rock and then you throw away the pukeko and eat the rock!
Most outdoorsy folks in the U.S. consider coot to be same. I've never shot one but saved a youtube vid earlier today of a catch-n-cook w/coot. AKA Mud Hen. Nearly anything is edible if- You're hungry enough.... and You are a knowledgeable talented "chef" able to prepare your catch appropriately! 🤞😆
