Don't use the recommended page size at the bottom. Change minimum to 1.5 times the amount of RAM your PC has and change max to 3 times the amount of RAM your PC has. So if you have 8GB of RAM then min should be 12,288mb (12GB) and max would be 24,576MB (24GB). If you have 16GB of RAM then min 24,576mb and max 49,152mb. Just make sure your hard drive has more space than the max page size. Meaning if your max page size is 48GB, then you'll need at least 48GB of space on your hard drive, otherwise it won't let you apply the settings. This is what's recommended! If you have multiple drives, you should set the page size for all of them.

For more than a year I agonized: Games played perfectly on steam, even Arc/Crysis - however while DOWNLOADING a game, my video editing rig turned into the reincarnation of my malware-ridden Celeron Netbook from 2004. Even my *Mouse* lagged out. Download finished? Fine again. NORMALLY - someone with 32 gigs of ram should never have to even *think* about PageFile, but Windows 10 has a Fatal Bug related to that "automatically adjust" checkbox. I'm still blown away. After years of suffering, updating BIOS, trying network drivers, editing registry, disabling high precision event timer in CMD...THIS CHECKBOX WAS the ISSUE! Thanks mate!

Because you will brick your computer otherwise. Vram higher than physical ram will absolutely annihalte everything as windows will try to use the vram instead on boot which needs to be called from the ram but if you have inferior ram to vram it wont boot, and it will essentially brick your windows install. So go ahead and try it 🙂 don't know why you question it

I had 10GB for Virtual Memory for some reason and it was taking up a bunch of storage so I changed it to recommended for initial and 1.5x recommended for the maximum (I wanted to save space)

That's actually page file size, not virtual memory. I had 9GB of alocated page file and now I reduced to 3GB, but the virtual memory is still as high as 25GB for some reason
if you have a mining rig, and for example you have 3 1080 ti graphic cards, each with 11 gigabytes of vram, so you have 33 gb of vram, set your initial size to just over that 33 gb, like basically set the initial size to 34000 and your machine will mine at the right performance, you should always know this when installing windows on your rig. so if i have 64 gb of vram on my mining rig, ill set my initial and maximum size to both 65000 and yea thats basically it, also never forget drivers.

if your paging file memory is disabled or low it could cause crashing sometimes or even system instability but your pc will read and write things faster

First replace your 2GB Ram With 8GB Ram and if your using HDD drive replace it with SDD Thats your good to go

It should not be too high as it would make your system slower. Microsoft recommends a minimum of 1.5 times your physical RAM but not more than 3 times

I need 8000 something to run AoE4 but I only have like 1000 something free(I’m assuming in my allocated since it’s 6144) but it says space available 79104 so if I for say set it the maximum to 10000 would that work
Hi I have a question, in system there 4 GB RAM how maximum to Maximum I can increase the size of virtual RAM in the system.

3072MB - 3072MB (initial and maximum size) on the disk where Windows is installed
Your computer is really fast, you have Windows 10 and only 2GB of RAM. And window 10 requires 4GB to work?
