LINKING SEARCH CONSOLE TO GA4 (New Google Analytics 4) 1. You must first set up search console and GA4 separately 2. Inside GA4, go to admin (bottom left), and then in the second column, under Product Links, you will see Search Console 3. Be logged in to both, using the same email. Click 'Link' and follow the instructions.
God bless you, i've watched alot of Shopify tutorials made by you and your way of explaining things is very simple. Definately reccomending everyone to watch your channel! Greetings from Estonia.
You, my new best friend are the best !!! All day yesterday I could not get it to verify, my laptop was going to be a new speed hump in my street. With your simple clear instructions (as always), I got my site verified in 5 minutes. I am so grateful.. and so is my laptop😂😂
Super useful, thank you. Linking search console and analytics looked soooo different for me. Will probably come back here once I update my website to confirm a bunch of details.
hey your content so easy and straight to the point i love it . when i did all the steps like you you said some options in my google search console not there like my website still new so i thought this may be the reason
Thanks for the video. You make very useful videos about Shopify, I really appreciate that. I've been waiting from the begging of the year for your Shopify Liquid Course for Store Owners. When it will be published, can you give a date for this? thanks again
Woah were you been all these days bro keep em coming need more 🤝 Also would love to see videos on clean minimal stick add-to-cart tutorial where people can select variants
Love watching you. Clear, detailed and things typically go well when I follow you. New store owner- I just set up my search console and sitemap. All seems good(Sitemap index processed successfully) until I open the "sitemaps read" and the status' all show 1 error. (pages, collecitons, blogs & products) It says the sitemap could not be read - General HTTP error. Do you have tips or video addressing this?
Great videos , I found it very useful , I study digital marketing and full stack so I enjoy be able to mix both to star a freelance career on my free time . Could you make a tutorial about screaming frog and SEO on Shopify? Thanks for the vids .
Thanks for your help. Can you do a video on the shopify queue? It is this feature where the shop makes you wait in a queue especially if you have a lot of traffic on your website. I've seen some shops have this sign "You're in line to checkout." You can google search it to see the image I am referring to. Could you go into depth about this?
Thanks, hmmm (different topic) sitemap on footer - how to create a page for sitemap with the links to collections, products blogs etc, please. I don't want an app but thought you might help with that?
Is this for customers to actually use or is it just for SEO reasons? If it's just for SEO, you can add a link in your footer just going to your-site.com/sitemap.xml. But it's not very human-friendly. If you want a sitemap that is easy for customers to read and use, then you can create a page the usual way in your admin, and just add all your links there as a list. Split it up with headings for collections, products, blogs, etc... Or If you want it done automatically, then an app is the way to go.
@@EdCodes For customers to quick-find via footer, [create a page the usual way in your admin, and just add all your links there as a list] this is what I had in mind thanks. My only concern is the layout of the page with the links down to one side instead of the menu set just like the navigation drop-down. Which app do you recommend? Edit - or is there a way that I can create as a menu-set evenly across the page like a template sort of thing?
Great videos. Your 'edit contact form' helped me. I need to add 'Get a Quote' button on each page that redirects to quote page. Do you have a video? thanks
@@EdCodes just a basic button that links to my 'quote page'. I used your video and made the 'contact form page' my quote page, with dropdown menu and arrow down icons. thanks
So I changed my website over from Wordpress to Shopify. I want to set up the Google search console and site map now that it’s switched but it’s showing that I already have it in Google from when it was in Wordpress. I already deleted the Wordpress website. What do I do. Should I just add a new site map in since the domain is still the same?
It's not a conflict it's just that one completely covers the other. If you do the domain method you don't need the URL prefix. But you can do both if you want to see all your 4 versions there in your console
I create a Shopify store and connect with the domain but still store is password protected I want to verify the Shopify store with google search console and put the HTML tag code in our Shopify store but it generates an error and does not verify kindly help me with this issue thanks in advance.
I just made massive changes to my website (deleting a lot of products and adding even more). Is there any possibility of reseting my Google Search Console so I can have everything clean and start over?
No don't do that. This is exactly the situation that Google Search Console is made for. After you made changes to your website, simply provide it with your updated Sitemap and request re-indexing for your most important pages - e.g. home page, collections. SEO is about your website having history, and an established authority in front of Google, so the worst thing is to "start clean". I hope you also made 301 redirects from those old pages you deleted to new pages that replace them? E.g. if you deleted some collections, then make a 301 redirect from the old url to a new, similar collection, or at least to the home page. (You can make redirects under Online Store > Navigation > View URL Redirects)
@@EdCodes Thank you so much for the response. I'm a newbie at this, but I will study what 301 means and act accordingly. Once again, thank you for your insides and for helping people with your videos.

Although I troubleshooted this on my own just fine, I am super glad you posted this. I was having doubts I completed everything correctly. Thanks.
FINALLY someone who shows how to do it the domain way, thank you!

Thanks a lot for your calm and precise explanation! It works!💗

If you passed verification then I think it will be ok. Other options in the sidebar will appear when Google has data.
You are the very best on UA-cam 🎉 Thank you from Germany!
Thank you!
Bro, you're amazing
Keep up the good work

Thank you so much for sharing userful info.
Very clear instruction. Thanks!
Straight to the point. Thanks for sharing. Is there any recommendable app to migrate from annotation data from UA to GA4?
If you are doing a tutorial for shopify please do a shopify DNS for search console, there are way more steps for shopify than the other one you demo'd
Thanks for sharing, Helpful
Thank you Ed!
Thanks
Thank you!
Your a great teacher!
Thanks!
clear and simple as always thanks. Im wondering if you have plans on doing Variant metafield for product/collection references :)

Hi Ed! thanks for the great video. For some reason, the website favicon is not shown on the domain property domain. How did you fix that for domains?

Thanks a lot brother

Great video thanks. If I've already added with the url method can I go back and use the domain method?
Yes, do the domain method anyway and you will see your URLs will be grouped and listed below the domain.
So informative👌 How can I add annotations in GA4?

This might be a silly question but do every website need Google Search Console. My client website is created on Wordpress
Will these two methods conflict with each other when added simultaneously
It's not a conflict it's just that one completely covers the other. If you do the domain method you don't need the URL prefix. But you can do both if you want to see all your 4 versions there in your console
Ed, if I'm interested in your freelance service for my store, how do I get in touch with you for a quote?
