I finally sat down and did a review of the Ordinary skincare line which I’m REALLY excited about. I hope you enjoy my review, comments and routine of how I use this extremely effective and inexpensive skincare line.
As promised, here are the products I use in my daily routine.
Day 1:
1. Vitamin C suspension 23%
2. Buffet
Night 1:
1. Lactic Acid 10%
2. Buffet
Day 2:
1. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
2. Buffet
Night 2:
1. Advanced Retinoid 2%
2. Buffet
As needed:
- Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% when I need an extra boost for even skin tone and texture (replaces either the Lactic Acid or Retinoid)
- Argireline Solution 10% for extra help on dynamic wrinkles (dab on forehead and laugh lines AFTER cleansing and toning)

The Azaleic Acid is AMAZING but you have to mix it with an oil or something liquid because it pills if applied alone. It really neutralizes redness and helps with old acne scars.
You must use buffet BEFORE vit C because otherwise you are kind of neutralizing it. That's why you feel less itching...
Ascorbic acid is in a waterless siliconless solution in order to be most effective, so if you put a watery serum just 1 minute after in top of it, you are making it less potent!

I know AHA and Vitamin C shouldn’t be used together as active serums. But does it still apply if the AHA is the Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution and Vitamin C 23% + 2% HA is serum. Both from The Ordinary.
Thought this was well done. I found it very helpful to compare what you are doing with what I am doing. Like you, I divided my routine into a two day alternating schedule. I also make some modifications depending on whether I am wearing makeup (I would double cleanse) or not. I am much older than you so have kept in the hyaluronic acid for extra hydration. I follow this with a spray I concocted myself made of aloe vera gel, glycerin, and rose water in a spray bottle which I keep in the fridge, since the hyaluronic acid likes to draw on moisture in the air or on your skin. I also use Azelaic Acid to help with rosacea, although next time I will try the Alpha Arbutin instead. I would also like to try the Caffeine Solution. Have subscribed so I can keep updated on your progress.

spf 50 should be a must

Is the vitamin c you are using good for dry skin? Is it drying?

I read that the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% works great for blemishes and stuff, but that it's also for oily skin. I don't have oily skin at all, I actually have dry skin. Do you think this product would still work for reducing my blemishes and redness?
SO sorry for the late reply. I think if you use it every other day and monitor your skin you should be ok. Also, make sure you follow up with a "Buffet" or a good moisturizer to hydrate the skin. Hope it helped!
Great video, u have the same routine as me with the vitamin c, buffet then moisturiser. Always been told that the vitamin c suspension MUST go on clean skin which is a must to get the most benefit 👍🏻

I thought niacinamide shouldnt be used with vit c.

You can use both but it’s not recommended to use it at the same time bc it creates a gummy mixture. The best way to use both is to apply niacinamide the morning and vitamine c at night.

I just bought The ordinary vitamin C suspension 23% .. and Yuja water C whitening ampoules in serum of Skinfood .. May I ask can use together with serum ? Or only use one morning and one for night ?? Thanks so much ..

Hi ordered the AHA 30% BHA 2 % Peeling solution, from Beautylish, and i Live in Ontario and I had no problem with shipping :) hope this helps... Im not sure if it would be different from the DECIM site, I didn't read that anywhere but I am not sure
I too ordered it from beautylish and had no problems! I couldnt order it from the DECIM site though.

You can't buy it from the DECIEM site, but a sale rep said that you'll be able to buy it from other venders.

What Can use vitamin c after retinoid 2% ? Or retinoid just with buffet ?
Paridah Rasyid hi! I wouldn’t use vitamin C after the retinoid but if you wanted to you could use the retinoid then buffet then the lactic acid.
I thought the retinoid and lactic acid shouldn’t be used together? Since their ph is very different, you can use one in morning and the other in the evening I believe?

Can vitamin C mix with the buffet?
Wow you're applying stuff backwards. Use the serums watery stuff first. I hate the Vit c they make. They did come out with new one in silicone. Vit c doesn't bother me at all. It might be making you itchy because your applying under other stuff. Try it afterwards. Some people can't handle Vit c though. I can handle high percentages of Vit c , AHA, BHAs. Iceberg doing this for many yrs. I too have a channel talking about these products.

thank you for taking the time to do this VERY WELL DONE VID. i live in Ontario. I'm in the hospital right now n first discovered this about 3. day's ago while here.. ordered it immediately.. and today my hubby walked in with the box box. all 9 produxts that i ordered came beautifully packaged. .I've got a lady across from me loudly snoring. and a senile man right next 2 me screaminnggg his face off bcuz I'm chewing my bread n butter too loud!!!
