Really depends on your use case. Python is easily used across all major platforms. Has a bunch of useful libraries that increase functionality. But yeah, if you're using Windows for work and you're already apt at PowerShell, then there likely isn't much reason for you specifically.
In a way this is concurring in other it field as well. A DBA’s used to write scripts to make there job easier, then a ‘smartass’ combined those tools in a management tool and the next generation ‘DBA’ only used the tool and hardly new the basics. In marketing sql scripting, Bach programs where used for data extraction and data manipulations, then the tools came along where those where combined. Always tried to shout out the message you have t know the basics, so programming without AI is the basics, use AI as resource, not to replace the basics.
Mr. Bombal, I really need your advice. I am new in networking (my knowledge: network devices, interfaces, base of TCP/IP and OSI) and now I would like to start working or take internship for local tele communicational company. From which field in networking should I begin? In the future I am planning get CCNA certificate. Thanks for your attention!
I’ve enjoyed a lot of Dr. Chuck’s videos, but this one feels a bit out of touch. He mentions how he has way more money than his parents ever did and claims younger generations won’t achieve that. Then he talks about tech salaries dropping from $200k to $70k in the next few years, while also referencing supporting a family, owning a home in the U.S., and going on vacations. Realistically, that’s just not feasible unless you’re living in a super low-cost-of-living area or working multiple jobs. I’m a garbage truck driver and I almost make that now. If I spend years learning programming only to have less buying power than I do now, it hardly seems worth it. A 70% salary decrease would mean most people in tech couldn’t afford much more than a one-bedroom apartment. Unless something worse than the Great Depression happens, his prediction doesn’t make sense. Either he’s completely wrong, or tech as a career is going to collapse, forcing people to start their own businesses to stay afloat while companies pay these $200k jobs pennies on the dollar.
I think the premise is right but this motto of "bring all into tech" is really lame and misleading. This field is not for everyone, this field is not easy (easy to start, kinda ya, but very hard to master) and will require a lot of you, a.k.a your time and focus. The majority of the people nowadays are lazy, do not even read a book, are incapable to feel boredom or stay with yourself without pick up their phones and scrolling to infinite in social media. I agree a lot with him, the market will not crash, will be less programmers out there that do program and ship good software. What will have is an ocean of AI zombies "copy pasters". On that will be a crash in the market, for the lazy and junky ones.
@ I agree with you-it’s not easy to learn tech skills. It takes daily effort, and most people today are too distracted by social media and short attention spans. Universities seem to crank out degrees now, and grade inflation is real-what’s an “A” today was probably a “B” a decade ago. And yes, even at top schools, many students care more about grades than actual learning, often resorting to cheating. Passion and a genuine desire to learn are essential in this field. I appreciate Dr. Chuck’s perspective, but I don’t think anyone can make it in tech without passion and effort. That said, I disagree with his claim that $200k programming jobs are disappearing and that most tech jobs will pay $60-70k in the future. Inflation alone makes this hard to believe. Salaries like that won’t attract top talent. I work a blue-collar job and can already achieve that pay doing mindless work. Talented individuals will simply choose more lucrative careers like finance or advertising, where they can make $150k+ with less effort and constant learning. Dr. Chuck also mentions companies like Facebook and Amazon needing fewer high-paid programmers. Maybe, but do we really think these companies won’t create new technologies? Innovations will keep coming, and tech talent won’t work for $60k when they can earn far more in other fields. The biggest issue is that $60-70k in 2030 will likely have the same buying power as $30k in 2012. That’s not enough to support a family, let alone take vacations to places like Portugal (as he suggests). It would require multiple jobs just to get by. I respect Dr. Chuck’s views, but I don’t think his salary predictions align with the reality of inflation and the U.S. economy. Love to hear your opinions on this.
Hi david I just want to know or can you please make show about how we can get a remote in the western countries ,I am from South Africa and it is difficult to secure a job
I'm ecstatic with the outcome of the election and the year-end market surge. Which hidden jewels in the upcoming bull run would you buy with a 100K right now? My goal is to position myself for a prosperous Q1 in 2025.
This noble man hasn't allowed capitalism to corrupt his pure spirit. Many with less experience and knowledge than him still profit from subpar content and attract large followings! I'll be among the first to sign up for the program, even though the doctor admits it will be challenging.
Thanks David & Dr Chuck for this talk, it's so important to spell out the current state of learning & being careful in using AI only as a tool. This should be common knowledge, but too many people offload their thinking to the media. This info isn't just for programming students, but very key for companies, who should know better. More companies are promoting AI coding etc for getting jobs done quicker....but don't have close scrutiny & are becoming too reliant. Therefore, companies aren't as careful in code reviews & code quality.
Use the Forth for Everyone Chuck, it's Moore better. Forth can do everything C can do, and a few things that C can't. If Forth is missing a feature, you can create it. A disadvantage of Forth, it is 20% slower performing when compared to C. Forth, as a rapid prototyping language, can build a project with 1/3 of the programmers, and in 1/12 the time, when compared to C. Forth can incrementally compile just the change needed, while C requires re-compiling the entire source code. This is important when you need to send code over a 1600 baud rate connection a billion miles away, C can't be used here. The first database was written in Forth, a 300mb database server with 26 workstations accessing the customer info with no slowdowns. Going from Java to Python is not a solution. It's like going from bad to worse. One memory monster to another. :Sheesh:
I feel that Dr Chuck would benefit from absorbing some of Dr Andrew Hubermans insights on the dopamine effect and how stress and quiting are part of the payoff we create to make failing easier on ourselves. Dr Huberman explains the way of teaching ourselves to elevate up to and through certain levels of stress and then stopping before we respond with quitting. It trains the brain to be more hungry for the value we get out of coming back to a project we left on self built terms rather than rewarding ourself for quitting then learning to quit faster. This would definitely help you retain students if you could pass on the quit response awareness
Well, now is the time to focus on WHOM that really want to program, that not uses to just get advantage, to FOCUS on real responsible people. The salvation is individual. It is no selfish of you to focus on people that really want to learn.
Everything right 👍 Watch Dr chunk content on web change my mind Even a good professor ever tell every thing step by step We upload our work with screen shot Know we not use chat gpt We fallow Dr chunk the great 😃 In first lacture second lacture Interaction with student is great amazing 😍
Dr. Chuck thinks 200k salaries will turn into 70k in the next few years? This really makes me question if this is dumb to spend my time and energy on. I do enjoy programming, but would like to be able to pay rent and eat, I don’t think this is greedy of me, as Dr. chuck implies. Inflation over the last 4 years has made 70k just above what they are paying full time fast food workers around me. I work at as a bartender and make that already, it’s not luxury, I take zero vacations and cannot afford to start a family with that pay. If he is right then this field is absolutely done, why would anyone smart ever spend years learning and upskilling to make less than a guy who brings you food? I think Dr. Chuck might need to look at some simple economics courses, and realize just how expensive things have become, in the United States over the last 4 years, seems like he’s lacking awareness. Just really sad if as the markets already impossible for us self-taught folks, and this is a very dark outlook.
It really comes down to supply / demand. The supply of software developers and those looking to get into the field has significantly increased. This is the result of people being laid off at current companies and the huge influx of grads from computing and IT programs. There are more people than there are jobs. It's inevitable that wages will, on average, decrease. If you want that elusive 6-figure job, you'll need to something highly specialized or you will need to be highly skilled, or both.
This is exactly what I said. In my area I can barely afford a one bedroom apartment, food and a vehicle. Inflation has hit my area hard the last 4 years. I don’t have any really fancy hobbies either, and Know I couldn’t have any kids on this salary alone. Dr. Chuck really seemed out of touch on this one. Love to hear your thoughts, as this was a concerning take if he’s correct
If people are afraid and can’t get job - there other fields out there like trade from electrical or hvac and elevator techs… it’s guarantee job compare to CS grads.. just saying.
AI isn't likely to get worse as synthetic data becomes a larger part of its training data, not necessarily anyway. Simple randomness of AI generated content is going to produce some output that is as good or better than most humans. Pair that with the creation of AIs which can "rank" synthetic data by its quality then you have a virtuous circle resulting in ever improving synthetic data.
When your learning there just needs to be no pressure or time constraints but a lot of motivation and if you have that you will not resort to chat gpt, because if you have 3 assignments due in 10 days and you are stuck on two and haven't started the 3rd I am sorry but your going to be prompting tf out of gpt if it is there to prompt
Same with in the United States. You have zero chance of ever being a home owner on a 70k salary here. I make close to that doing mindless blue color Work, I know plumbers who can’t read making 150k here. If he’s correct you won’t have any workers advancing technology in 10 years besides maybe outsourced stuff. It seemed like a really out of touch take by Dr. Chuck. Summers in Portugal with your family on 70k. Give me a break inflation has made that like making 40k just 6-7 years ago. I don’t need to be richer than my parents generation but I also think I should have a chance to buy a house one day and not have to live in government assisted living on this career. If he is right tech is dead, I sure hope he’s wrong. Love to hear your opinion
@@capnmnemo that would be really sad to see. It’s really not easy to learn this stuff, takes a lot of time and dedication and constant upkeep of skills. I do think he’s wrong though as companies will always need talent.
So the gist of this video is: Become exceptionally good in an exceptionally difficult field to get mid-grade payment of a mid-grade to even low-grade field. Hm, yeah no. Let AI do all the things I am going ot become a gardener and not work myself to death, thank you!
Yeah this is exactly what I was thinking. In 5 years you can make 70k being a programmer. That was maybe good money 10 years ago but in the United States you’ll never be able to own a home
30 years ago, programming was hard-basic tools and algorithms made everything slow. Now, AI helps us code faster and learn quicker, but we also learn from what AI generates; otherwise, it wouldn't make sense. AI is creating jobs, not just taking them, and making programming smarter and more efficient. 🚀
This guy really - I work for software company and people have AI tool open most of day refining and making work faster.. instead of waiting for end user or contrast to deliver the full code in 2-5 business days, it can be now done in 1-2 days.. I’n next 10 years, if schools itself don’t know where IT is heading, then curriculum itself is not updated..
Like they say "no pain no gain" Honestly for me it's hard to grasp the idea that people don't want to learn coding and shoot themselves in the leg by using AI with a lazy attitude.... I'm so passionate about IT that i can't really imagine someone doing this to themselves... If anyone believes programming is to make lots of money, then here is a hard pill to swallow... You'll not last as a programmer if you don't love what your doing. Simple as that... Programming is solving puzzles with using logical thinking and if that's not a daily thing you enjoy then please go for another field.
I just need all my apps to work without internet and without subscription. anything to hack a word application get all the features without the timeout and money demands. I understand there is people out there that needs to feed their families but those applications should be paying rent for living in my computer.
Sorry but this dude misses the mark about chat gpt. He’s a boomer so he’s stuck in old ways. Instead of embracing it as a tool, he bashes it. It shouldn’t be seen as a cheat code for programming, but as a supplemental tool.
Change your life in 2025! You have access to fantastic training from the amazing Dr Chuck - no excuses!!

Great discussion, Thank you David and thank you Dr. Chuck.
Ask chapt gpt 😂
Sacrifice your time and practice as much as you can
Go for ccna it will make your base stronger.
@ i wanted to start working and learning ccna at the same time, so I am searching for job, that will be beneficial for me
Internships in that field are close to be almost non existent …put it this way companies are rather hiring Mr Patel with a CS degree and an H1-B visa
He’s so realistic to me. Everything he said is so point on man. ❤
I think this is the talk that I needed 🙂
thanks David & Dr. Chuck.
i didn't get it. It will be a course with javascript that covers backend and frontend ?.. or django backend and javascript frontend ?
Programming for network engrs is something I need .and how do I begin . I mean from the elementary
What should I put into consideration before learning programming
Hi david I just want to know or can you please make show about how we can get a remote in the western countries ,I am from South Africa and it is difficult to secure a job
I'm ecstatic with the outcome of the election and the year-end market surge. Which hidden jewels in the upcoming bull run would you buy with a 100K right now? My goal is to position myself for a prosperous Q1 in 2025.
Really, thanks alot Dr chuck and Mr. David ,you are the best person who thinks nice think for young people
When you know few commands about a programming language it's when you think a lot rather than you know much about the language
Wonderful video, very thought provoking on the warnings and future of AI use. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you david❤ from somaliland🎉
You're welcome! And welcome Somaliland!!
@@davidbombal 🥰🥰🥰 U are my role model 👏🥰
Hello sir, I am trying to access the Python for everybody on Coursera platform, but they ask me to pay some amount of money.
:Sheesh:
23:50 is he talking about training your models?
Peace be upon you Sir,
I am a student and I am learning from youtube videos and by browsing , is this enough ?! or I have to enforce more effort ?
Does this include free Coursera certificate also?
Learning Python is on my bucket list. Transition my old batch files. Tk U for sharing.
You have no excuse now 😀 Learn from Dr Chuck - the best!
Edward Snowden ? When will we see him on your channel ?
David Bombal and Dr.Chucks wonderful !
I love this. Thank you.
Thanks Dave, thanks Dr Chuck, Happy New Year and I really hope this AI madness finally ends.
Well, now is the time to focus on WHOM that really want to program, that not uses to just get advantage, to FOCUS on real responsible people. The salvation is individual. It is no selfish of you to focus on people that really want to learn.
Thanks for the lesson
Everything right 👍
Watch Dr chunk content on web change my mind
Even a good professor ever tell every thing step by step
We upload our work with screen shot
Know we not use chat gpt
We fallow Dr chunk the great 😃
In first lacture second lacture
Interaction with student is great amazing 😍
@ guess I’ll just have to get good and hope it works out for the best.
@Ghostman-cs7wz Godspeed. I'm in the same boat as you
I like this new year's gift Santa Bombal.
I am very interested thanks sir
23:42 wtf is this sound? that scared the shit out of me
Summers in Portugal and $70-80k a year salaries are not compatible, lol.
Thank you gentlemen!
If people are afraid and can’t get job - there other fields out there like trade from electrical or hvac and elevator techs… it’s guarantee job compare to CS grads.. just saying.
Thank you David ❤❤❤
You're welcome!
Stop this “I love y own” syndrome.
Accept the future and adopt.💯👍👍👍
what i would like to see is at least a beginner intro to PyCharm or an IDe of professor chuck"s choice.
Young people in Europe are increasingly not able to afford a place to live.
That's not wanting to be "richer than their parents".
Same with in the United States. You have zero chance of ever being a home owner on a 70k salary here. I make close to that doing mindless blue color
Work, I know plumbers who can’t read making 150k here.
Yes@@Ynerson9003 a global problem. I get kinda angry when I hear people talking bout young people somehow being greedy.
@@Ynerson9003 I think he is right that tech is about to become McJobs.
@@capnmnemo that would be really sad to see. It’s really not easy to learn this stuff, takes a lot of time and dedication and constant upkeep of skills. I do think he’s wrong though as companies will always need talent.
@@Ynerson9003 I believe you are right that companies will always *need* talent.
They just won't *pay* for it.
Hello sir
Thanks for this amazing video ❤❤❤
Hello!! You're very welcome!
Thank you very much sir
Thank you ❤ david🎉
You're welcome!
Thanks a lot Sir🥰🥰😍♥
You're welcome! Amazing training from Dr Chuck!
you really help me cause now I have master ethical hacking and I also teach my teach thanks
No.
Thank you, Dr Chuck.
Everyone at work knows that I don't use AI aids.
Because my code sucks.
Dr Chuck is amazing! haha about your code 😂
Thanks for the video😅
You're welcome 😊
Now that's "on demand" video i just watched........
Thank you David )
You're welcome!
David can you please make short videos like 5 to 10 minutes ❤❤❤
I'm trying to balance long form and short form videos on the channel. My shorts give you quick videos as well 😀
In the meantime, learn a hardware language from the physics branch.
What would that be?
Thank you sir❤
You're welcome!
Hi, everybody , it's god start of 2025 thx for this gif
Coursera ones are kinda false advertising.
FREE 7 day trial and then after that $49 per month.
Next assembly language course
I suspect "Cheat" GPT is using your code as its own.
Thanks David
You're welcome!
Java...?🤔
I've been saying this for a while, but AI needs to sign it's work.
Thank you are the best
Thank you! Dr Chuck is the best! 😀
Like they say "no pain no gain"
Honestly for me it's hard to grasp the idea that people don't want to learn coding and shoot themselves in the leg by using AI with a lazy attitude....
I understand there is people out there that needs to feed their families but those applications should be paying rent for living in my computer.
in 2025 propably 0 juniors gets any job ;)
Hardwork and perseverance pays!
this sounds like a good podacst
Sorry but this dude misses the mark about chat gpt. He’s a boomer so he’s stuck in old ways. Instead of embracing it as a tool, he bashes it. It shouldn’t be seen as a cheat code for programming, but as a supplemental tool.
Indeed, the AI will destroy the minds and innovation of student.
Did Dr. Chuck just say React is crap?😂😂😂 please enlighten us why it’s crap and lots of web applications run on React!
React developers like 😭😭😭😭
Great
