This is by far the best presentation on the positive EV tool. I particularly appreciate how you explain the conditions that you use for the filter. Very well organized. I'm going to try this on an even more conservative 15 percent Kelly sizing.
I've done 2000 bets over a month and I'm down about 20%. I haven't had a positive week yet doing EV. I'll let it ride, but I'm kind of expecting to lose it all unfortunately. I've reduced width down to 35, and odds up to +135. Those filters haven't helped though.
Hi Marie. If it’s not too personal, how many books do you have or recommend having with this program? I’m not looking to make a million dollars, or even 200K a year. I also work full time, but would like to make 1K a month as a side hustle. I’ve been betting for a couple of months on my own, with only 2 books. I’m afraid that this program might require more books than I can manage, but I keep coming back to these videos thinking it might be something that could help me. If you’ve read this far, thanks for your time.
Hi @lynns7262, I would recommend signing-up for all the sportsbooks you can legally have in your state. The more books you have, the more opportunity you'll have to find advantageous bets. In terms of your question about bankroll size, OddsJam can work with any bankroll size. When you sign-up, it'll ask you what your bankroll size is and then all the recommended bet sizes will be in relation to that bankroll size. So let's say you have $500 spread across 8 sportsbooks. Your recommended bet sizes might be $2-$10 for some bets and maybe $15-$20 for other bets. It's all about the volume. If you're betting a lot, you'll have the opportunity to grow your bankroll size over time. I'd recommend reaching out to contact@oddsjam.com for more info. They can answer any questions you might have as well as walking you through how to most optimally use the tools. Hope this helps!
You should reach out to contact@oddsjam.com and they can walk you through the prices of each individual plan and help you decide which plan is right for you, depending on the state you live and your goals.
Love your video, girl! 🙌 curious if you have a maximum odds that you stick to? I have mine set at +200, but am wondering if I should lower it to target better plays.
Keeping recommended filters on really circumvents that! That’s why I really like it. Minimal brainpower. And you know you are getting good plays! But I will say if you expand beyond the recommended filters - consider doing 2 other things. Adjust Market width and EV% too. For example: max odds: 200. Market width: 40. EV%: 1%. This month this is what I am doing. As an experiment… Max odds: 215 Market width max: 46 EV% : 1.5% …looking for main market/alt markets mostly. Player props have to be really good (like
HI @bryannapavlish1763. Nigel Carreiro, the video Producer at OJ, here. I was hoping you'd DM me on twitter @nigelcarreiro. I have an opportunity I wanted to run by you. Thanks!
The fantasy optimizer is your best bet in California as DFS pick'em is widely available there. Great video here on how it works: ua-cam.com/video/dtQ2_xze1OI/v-deo.html
Can you possibly do a video walking somebody through several bets from start to finish? I ask because I am a complete and total newbie to this, and I have no idea what the terminology is, or how to do any of this. In case you are curious, a friend of mine is who got me into the sports betting world. He is really big into it, what is on the road all the time as a truck driver, and is unable to show me everything that I need to know that is why I am asking you, because you seem to know what you're talking about, LOL 🙂
Hi there John. Thanks for watching. I'd recommend having a watch of this video that Alex Monahan did recently: ua-cam.com/video/WBiZCFxS2FY/v-deo.html It is a complete walk through of how all the tools on the OddsJam platform work, and more importantly how you can use them. Hope this helps!
Is there any possibility to do these things from europe? Most of these books don't even exist here, and the odds written that way are beyond my comprehension
Great video! Been on the fence about the Positive EV tool but will definitely give a chance now. I’m based in the UK- will be interesting to see if this success can be replicated here Quick question- when you say minimum 3000 EV bets- is that per month? Thanks
Good question! In the video I meant if you are starting out EV betting I think it’s better to bet at least 3000 bets *total* to prove to yourself you can do this long term (I think 3000 bets is a sweet spot where you can weather several bouts of negative variance and makes you more confident. Usually 3000 bets will be over several months and different sports). Most EV bettors say at least 1000 bets though to get an idea of positive Ev betting and being profitable :) I’m just extra conservative in my advice and think more bets the better to assess your process. Also most Ev bettors strive for 1000 Ev bets a month when using the tool! Definitely doable especially with football season coming up!
Hi Marie! I'm on the fence about subscribing due to the pricing being $199 a month. But, my question is, what caused you to have a few negative month's?
Hi there! When it comes to negative months, I'm sorry to say they just happen. It's due to the variance that exists with sports betting. Here is a good video explaining variance: ua-cam.com/video/hriN9vshuTM/v-deo.html You should check it out, but simply, you're going to have stretches where you just run into some bad luck, which is why it's critical to properly manage your bankroll, follow recommended bet sizes, and continue to maintain a high volume of bets. In the end, if you're doing all that, you will make money over time.
If there are good bets - using much of bankroll as possible on a daily basis! But to give you some context - I usually am placing on average 25 bets a day. In the example I was using in video - 2000 bankroll; $5 units bettor betting qk sizing and only betting max $25 (5 units) any play. Say I bet the max $25 bets x 25 bets = $625. That’s not even using half your bankroll everyday.

What does "EV" mean?
"EV" means expected value.
@@OddsJam so when playing PrizePicks or Underdog. We want the EV to by above 54%?
