Tbh I like how consistent joytoy warhammer figure release... The only downside the focus too much on ultramarines...i just lost interest collecting since I only do iron hands chapter
Im sure im going to pick him up eventually, but Im not a big fan of the helmet. The older one is just so much better. New one looks like a giant baby skull. Lol I wonder if the upper torso can be swapped?
When you do the Terminator Chaplain comparison, you might as well throw in the non-Terminator Chaplains too. Would be good to see how they all scale together!
one thing that should be mentioned - the head with the mask is almost double the size of a primarch head, its the biggest head joytoy ever put on a figure and it looks silly af next to aegmann or other figures of the same size. besides that its a solid release, but this size creep on the heads must stop, its makes them a total different scale.
The only thing I don't love about this figure is the bright white skull helmet. I think a shaded bone-coloured helmet would have looked a lot better. Otherwise, fantastic figure, especially with the optional weapons.
I will never forgive JOYTOY for the awful pauldrons in the OG terminator chaplain. But I will probably forget about it after I have put my hands on this new hefty boy!
I have the same issue with this figure as I have with the standard Ultramarine Terminators using this new body; the paint applications feel flat. It’s less egregious than those figures but it is pretty disappointing considering how good the last terminator chaplain looked (even if the articulation was awful on that figure). The standard ultramarine terminators look like downscaled McFarlane figures which is ridiculous considering how much more expensive they are.
Are all the new ones going to be bigger ? Thats no good for me. I hope not. Soo i am probablu best to make my own Grey Knight Chaplain or hell be huge and different shoulders.
Your in-depth analysis is too basic. You're telling us about colors and patterns we can clearly see. I'm guessing you do not know much about Ultramarine lore. Nice figure though.

The first term chap is very close to my heart, he’s such a very ornate piece in my collection. What I’m waiting for is Horus

I had a quick question. Do you think it would be possible to swap out the ultramarine's shoulder pad with one from a blood angels termy?
