December has been an incredible month for Spinner the Sea Cam and it should be the last month without a wiper as the camera has been removed for repairs as of the 22nd. The growth still overtook the dome, but with the help of Ocean Rescue, they managed to keep it relatively clean. Unfortunately, a growth blocked #Benny and his castle for most of the month, but his sweet face managed to make an appearance. An inquisitive octopus made several appearances in one day and even crawled all over the dome, which was quite extraordinary. There were multiple ray sightings, some with tails and some without. In fact, there were so many sightings, it almost looked like they were playing a game of Follow the Leader - which even included sharks. The Manta Ray came back for another picture-perfect appearance (minus the grime), there was even a Panda Party (black margate).
We at the City of Deerfield Beach wish you and your loved ones a wonderful and healthy holiday season, and we look forward to getting back online soon and CLEAN. Stay healthy! - Розваги
This may be this best one yet...who ever puts together the soundtrack gets a standing ovation from me. Merry Christmas Deerfield Beach!
I love the monthly recap.
Orchestrated octopus suckered! Fabulous Christmas gift. Thank you DFB
Beautiful beautiful beautiful ❤️ thank you so much for these precious recaps.i love watching them every day.
Considering this was a short month because of the maintenance that was one of the best recap videos! I was so excited when I saw the octopus live, cool to see it again!
.
Well done with the movie choice and matching the fish movements to the peek of the music. Such an amazing video of an Octopus, the Manta ray and the sharks hunting.
Awesome, thank you so much DFB. What a wonderful review, so many cool things we saw this month, and the octopus was unreal.
I've now watched every months recap today! So much amazing stuff. Have a wonderful holidays, Merry Christmas, staff safe and stay negative, ;) See you when Spinner is back in action!
thank you so much, like I have enjoyed every minute I spent here everyday. Thank you a million times. see you all soon, blessings~♥~
A very good recap!! It was fun watching the visit of the Sugar Plum Cephalopod -- and, wait for it -- a special Holiday Court presided over by His Majesty King Benny! The music was awesome in how it matched the activities of the creatures. I myself had never seen a live octopus before and it was fascinating to watch him moving around and sitting on the camera dome. Well done and Happy Holidays to all at Deerfield Beach and the chat participants who were rewarded, as befitting his loyal subjects, by a visit from #KingBenny during this season of joy and warm wishes.
very Well done!
New Year? Yes please! Here’s to better times ahead for us all! Wishing you a very happy Christmas and a safe and healthy 2021. to all
Couldn't have said it better! Cheers to a happier, healthier, and just an all around better new year!

The dance of the sugar plum fairies for the octopus was perfect. I would have never thought of that!
Well done, again!
Awesome as always! Thanks! Merry Christmas Happy New Year!
Cool, really enjoy the highlight reel with the tunes. Try to watch camera every day and tell others. Keep up the good work.
It's incredible the things we can learn with these underwater cameras. It's like being able to have a miniature documentary every day, and there are so many animal behavioral patterns that can be observed and even tracked. Such as: is it locals swimming by, or pelagic visitors? Is it a breeding season, is there patterning to shoaling behaviors, does movement change between seasons, how do storms affect behavior? etc. So many things we can do now with technology, and with ability to see into the windows of these worlds. Incredible times to be living!
Once again the music score was perfectly timed with what was going on!! Love and look forward to the recaps!! Ty for allowing us into the fishbowl...MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone who brings us this and to everyone i watch and chat with. Peace and Good Health to all💞

Wow! December was interesting. I stopped coming by to watch because it was so stormy. I can't stand to see the fish tossed around like that. It's good to see a bit of Benny in there. Hoping for a great new year!
Great job on this recap!
Any idea when the camera will be back up? I miss it. I leave it on a lot and watching the sea creatures makes me happy.
Posting an update in the description today. My plan is to keep it updated as we go.
Outstanding, again! A wonderful variety of sea life in this video.
As always your team did a great job and the octopus is the star of the month . Have a Merry Christmas
FISH CAM LES GOOOOOO
Once again you have outdone yourself. The musical choices are fantastic. We Three Kings for the most part but syncing the octopus around 0:58 to The Nutcracker was genius! Thank you for taking the time to do this. It is amazing!
1:22 adorable puffer 🐡 fish. Before that sting rays ,barracuda and sharks at night. A juvenile parrot fish too. Awesome.
Very cool! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Deerfield Beach from Canada.
Happy holidays!
That was Great!!
Bravo 👏
What is the name of the song that starts about a minute and a half in? I had it played at my wedding, lost the cd and didn’t know the name of it. Is it just Comfort and Joy in instrumental? The song I’m looking for was just a Celtic song
I believe it is called "What Child is This?"
or We Three Kings. I think they are the same song.
The highlight videos are so good! Happy New Year to the Deerfield Beach team! It will be great to see King Benny again and check out what's happening when the camera's sorted and back up and running.
Happy new year!
OMG I was in Florida, me and my sister and my mom and my mom, Mom‘s friend that she took care of. It was so fun I didn’t know we were swimming with the sharks and see fish and stingrays and sharks and jellyfish and just fish and stingrays that was so crazy. I did not even know that a police told us that there was a camera under the bridge and we seen it now that’s so cool, I wish we were still there but we’re at home now and Kansas City Kansas City But I’m glad we’re back home. Our dog really missed us our dogs. In the water my sister was being a well and we was way out there. I’m glad there was no things that hurt us. and I forgot to mention sea turtles was in there too. I’m so sad I really wanna be there. I’m jealous that we see everybody else there and we can’t be there. This is not fair.😢😊❤ please bring me back and when I get bigger, I’m gonna work there and be a mom and live there with some of my family all of my family. Actually I will pay for everything don’t worry family or you guys can help me I don’t care this time. Our dogs is actually going.❤😢😊
Wow!
Love it!!! 🐠
amazing!
Absolutely fascinating
this is great.
wish I stayed all month
What kind of fish is that @11-15 sec mark? & MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Those are tarpon. I have never seen that many together on this cam before. They actually showed up again at night just as many but the clarity of that footage wasn't that great. This is one of my favorite shots. Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year!!
@@DeerfieldBeachLive KEWL!!! I've seen these running solitary on another channel and I had no way to ask, since they don't run a timestamp! Thanks for solving a Very long Mystery for me!
wow, what are those @3:15???
Those are Sennett, they are part of the barracuda family.
@@DeerfieldBeachLive Thank you! I never knew there was such a thing as the "Barracuda family"
3:06 mutton snapper? I had to pause and go back for a second look. Whoa! Somebody could catch mutton off that pier! They are crazy fish to catch. I caught a 14lb once and it was a work out.
At last I've seen the famous Benny
Need that music at the start of the video. It sounds like some orchestral remake of something classic but can't remember it's name so have no chance finding it =(
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awesome seeing all the past month in just 4 minutes. What's gunna swim or crawl through next? Thank You!
Music is nice.
I never knew Manta Rays visited this area. That was amazing! See @ 00:28 seconds
.
They should put in a pot so they get a perma octo
LOL!! @ 3:03 Gayfish swims by!! .....It committed a "Swim-By Fruiting" . 😂😂😂
The vid and the music are GREAT!!
