But having followed Il Volo since their beginning in 2009, having seen them in concert and at other events, and having met them personally a number of times (as has GerRoland1), I can assure you, Gianluca is not a bass. And Ignazio is surely in no way a baritone! Since you are such an expert, you know that, just having a wide vocal range is not what categorizes the voice of a singer. The range in which he/she most often sings does. Google Il Volo and read some of the great number of reviews and interviews. "You won't find one by any credible person that refers to them as other than baritone (Gianluca) and tenor (Ignazio).
