American Goldfinch Song: The Most Beautiful Bird Song in the World

- The American goldfinch is a small songbird in the finch family. It is a common bird in North America, and is known for its bright yellow plumage in the spring and summer.
American goldfinches are about 5 inches long and weigh about 1/2 ounce. They have a short, conical bill and a small head. The male is bright yellow with a black cap and wings. The female is duller yellow with olive green wings.
American goldfinches are found in a variety of habitats, including meadows, fields, parks, and gardens. They eat a variety of seeds, including sunflower seeds, thistle seeds, and dandelion seeds.
American goldfinches are migratory birds. They winter in the southern United States and Mexico. In the spring, they return to their breeding grounds in the north.
American goldfinches are social birds. They often flock together with other birds, such as sparrows and finches. They are also known for their beautiful songs.
American goldfinches are a popular bird with birdwatchers. They are easy to attract to feeders with sunflower seeds. They are also a welcome addition to any backyard. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
Lovely. Just the happiest sweetest sound. What is in the feeding tube? Sure are a lot of birds in the background. Chickadees, crows, blue jays.
I feed them sunflower kernels all birds love to eat them and the best part is there is very little to clean up.
@@AmadasChannel Thank you. I'll add that.
They love thistle seed. That’s how we attract them to our yard.
Entire flocks of these birds can be drawn in by HULLED SUNFLOWER CHIPS or HULLED SUNFLOWER MEATS, or Thistle seed (also called Niger). Thistle is quite expensive and the shell clean up is high, it almost looks like all of it has been dropped to the ground, because the seed itself is very tiny. The Goldfinches and Lesser Goldfinches seem to prefer the hulled sunflower CHIPS over the whole hulled sunflower meat because the chips are smaller and easier to consume. (The chips are usually less expensive than the whole hulled sunflower meats, too.) The only waste is the clear membrane/skin around the whole hulled sunflower meats, which the birds drop. At first glance it seems that hulled sunflower is much more expensive than seeds with shells, but actually 2/3 or more of the bag is the shells... so when comparing just the edible part, buying hulled seed is much less expensive. Plus there's almost nothing to sweep up.
Made my day with their cuteness
Beautiful Yellow Bright colors, they are finally here in Washington! They love sunflower seed hearts!
I just got a different feeder, and while it did take a day for everyone to get warmed up to it, when Mr. Goldfinch finally arrived he started calling to his Misses like "Babe come check out the new feeder!" 🥺
I can listen to them squeak away all day.
They sound like little party favors.
They are literally the cutest thingies
these guys are all over my grandmothers feeders, its crazy.
I swear my local dude sits at the feeder and asks questions with his chirps lol
I love my Gold Finches.❤
They are so squeaky and melodic for a finch. They make me happy every time I listen to them.
