Mai Vue I’m usually a size 10 but I got a size 14 because they run smaller in wedding dresses.
Sooo if someone is a size 14 they should go to a size 16. 🤗

From what I've read, most people whose dress looks awesome having ordered online, do not wear the dress "straight out of the box", but get it altered to get The Perfect Fit, which is normal for ANY wedding dress purchase. Even locally custom-made dresses require numerous fittings and adjustments. And, it's best to order far enough in advance you have ample time to make any needed alterations. AND if you don't like a big dress, order a different style. ;) I am not getting paid to say this. ;) As a mom, I am saying this because I am encouraged to see the trend away from such outrageous costs for wedding dresses and weddings in general, a one-day event. It's the marriage that people need to put more effort into. Just some food for thought.
That's what my daughter did. She ordered from JJHouse and got it about 3 weeks later. We had to get it minimally altered (as you would any wedding dress, as you said) and it was beautiful on her. She did order it a year in advance too.
@@purselmer5931 What we did, too. My daughter got a JJsHouse wedding dress. Lace over satin with tiny buttons all the way down the back. I am an experienced seamstress, so I altered it after watching numerous tutorials. (It was a high level of difficulty, so I would recommend only professional alteration!). Her dress was absolutely beautiful.

the dress actually looks really pretty! Looks like it needs a quick steaming just for the wrinkles and maybe just a few areas need to get tailored but it looks very cute! Especially for the price.

The dress is lovely and looks gorgeous on you! I know a few people who got their dresses from them, and were VERY happy with their purchase. None of them were asked to do reviews. I can't imagine any company asking someone with no followers or videos to do a review for them - I think they speak for themselves.
I got a decent cocktail dress from JJsHouse. It looks fine and I got my money’s worth. It looks like this 👗, but in blue polyester taffeta and chiffon with nice crystal ornaments at the shoulders, some ruching, and a narrower, A-line skirt with no side-seam pockets.
One serious problem: I ordered it in a custom size, and they didn’t get it right. I added 1.5” to my real waist measurement, because I prefer to wear my clothes loose, but the waist was just barely big enough to wear. Hmm.
I have long legs and look silly in too-short skirts, so I added 2” to my real height when I sent in my measurements, and the skirt still barely covers my knees. It helps to be (or know) a seamstress who can nip in a waist or shorten a hem, which is much easier than lengthening or enlarging a dress!
If I ever order from them again, I’ll add 2” to my real waist measurement, and 3” to my height. I can’t say if that would work for other women, though.

Huh that's actually way better quality than what I was expecting. I get nervous ordering from sites like that especially when the prices seem too good to be true, but this video helps. Thanks for making this!

I order my dress at JJ house and it was very wrinkle, but I steam it and it looks gorgeous and you can save couple more dollars

Lace ivory and taffeta ivory are slightly different in color - it still looks nice

I ordered the same wedding dress on jjshouse few days ago because I love Kate's wedding dress and I was so glad to find this one which almost looks like the same. But I was a bit worried because there were only few opinions about it on jjshouse and no "real" pictures of it... so I was afraid of receiving the dress and it doesn't look like the picture as the website at all and toward the too strict return policy... 😞 But finally I found your video and I feel so lucky know! I love how the dress is really looks like and I think it quite fits you!

@@FrauJesz The dress arrived a bit lately (10 days instead of 6 days estimated). The lace was very bad quality.., there was a lot of pilling.. horrible. I advise you to not buy on jjshouse. except you enjoy risks..

The boutiques' owners pooh-pooh JJs House as not a good place from which to buy. I guess the main reason is that it is taking away from their business and the costs are way under what they charge! Looks like a good source to me!

I've ordered 4 dresses from JJs House and all of them have been amazing. I order with custom sizing and have been happy every time. If you order dresses in their sizing they can be returned.
So only custom size dresses cannot be returned?! That seems reasonable... As at a bridal shop

pikacindy - nope ! I ordered all ivory but that's how it came :/ half and half
I ordered a cocktail dress from there today, but I need it by next Friday, so being that I live on the East Coast of the US, I was concerned about being able to get it by then, given that it's only a formal dress, and not as elaborate as a wedding dress. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

bot really it makes it fit like a glove and if you dont want it bunted you could do a seperate dress for reception but think you should wear it seen alot of brides try that one on and it doesnt look right but on you its pretty
@@kmcatee1970 I also think that it looks very nice on you! I love ivory also, and too much white just doesn't look quite right on me...kind of glaring. On camera, I didn't see two different colors or top white and skirt white. I thought it was a beautiful dress on you. I think we can sometimes be harsher critics on our own than most people would be.
Of course it's 💯 your own decision, but if altered to fit you and steamed, and maybe a veil or head piece you might teally like it. I like looking at wedding dresses for fun. My problem is there are too many styles I like and very hard to narrow it down! Good luck! But giessing you're married by now anyway.

Out of curiosity have you gotten any other dresses from there. I really liked a prom dress they have on the site and I couldn’t find it anywhere else. The reviews seem to be very mixed. I’m on a tight budget and I’m worried about purchasing it
I think prom dresses are a bit expensive on that site , it’s almost like the wedding dress prices.
I would recommend just going to stores for prom dresses.
I ordered a dress from there about a week ago! How were they about updating your order? Mine just says they received my payment and your item is not shipped yet. Does that mean they've even started making mine?
no that just means they got your payment then you will get a notifcation that they are processing your order (thats when they are making it ) and then they ship it :] takes about 4 weeks.

The lace is ok but cheap. I used the same lace to make a halloween costume for my daughter. I paid like $2.00 a yrd for it. The satin on the video looks like the satin used for costumes. It looks fairly well sewn and would work if you can't afford to pay more. Just be aware that the quality of materials used are cheaper and not the same as quality has higher priced gowns from a bridal salon. I have seen dresses that friends got off resale sites for reduced prices and they were gorgeous. Bridal shops also sell off their samples on the resale sites. I would peruse those shops before buying a knockoff gown from China.

Try Tradesy.com or look for online sites that guarantee that the dresses are as advertised. Here is an article from the NY times about several sites that are legitimate. www.nytimes.com/2017/06/15/fashion/weddings/wedding-dresses-already-broken-in-and-at-bargain-prices.html As with anything you shop for online, check reviews of the site before purchasing on yelp or any other consumer complaint site. I would go to a bridal shop and try on dresses so you can get an idea of what style of dress you want. Most of these sites are final sale. Here is an example of a sample dress for tradesy. The dress is a sample and it states there is some loose beading. If i wanted this dress I would contact the seller and ask to see pictures of the loose beading. Most likely it is an easy fix. Boy, you talk too much! I just wanted to check out JJs House Wedding Dresses because all the reviews I've seen (4 with yours) seem to back the fact that their dresses are kool and at a great price. That's all. Try it on, let us know what you think. Done! I fast forwarded to try to see you in it SIDEWAYS (lousy recording). Looks good to me! Thanx. By the way, if you put the dress (that you tried on right out of the box!) on a hanger and hang it behind the bathroom door while taking a hot shower, you might not need to have it professionally ironed.
