- Am 01. August 1944 erhob sich die polnische Heimatarmee gegen die deutschen Besatzungstruppen. Der Widerstand hielt 63 Tage, bevor die Armee angesichts der Vergeltungstaten kapitulierte. Mit ihrer EP „1 VIII 1944. Warszawa“ gedenken Laibach dem Warschauer Aufstand vor 70 Jahren.
Unterstützt und finanziert wurde das Projekt vom Nationalen Zentrum für Kultur in Polen sowie vom Ministerium für Kultur und nationales Erbe.
Polish National Centre for Culture released the brand new Laibach EP “, titled: 1 VIII 1944. Warszawa.
Laibach was invited by the NCC to create the special project CD, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.
The Warsaw Uprising (Polish: powstanie warszawskie) was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance Home Army (Polish: Armia Krajowa) to liberate Warsaw from Nazi Germany.

It's German. The Group is from Slovenia, maybe that's why the language is not to 100% similar with "real" German, but it is also possible that this is just their creative vein

I'd appreciate, if you'd start to think about that it is destructive for the antifascist movement to proclaim a competion which people brought the biggest courage to the table when it comes to fighting the Nazis of the 3rd Reich. Thanks.

@@danielflorczak5067 This song is part of an EP which was dedicated to the Warsaw uprising against the German occupying. Listening to the song made me think of the uprising, the thousands of dead people and that Poland had to surrender anyway at the end.

Die Band ist nicht rechtsradikal. Wer das behauptet hat Laibach nicht ansatzweise verstanden, entweder weil er/sie sich nicht genügend mit ihnen beschäftigt hat, oder weil es ihm/ihr an Bildung und/oder Intelligenz fehlt, um Laibachs Konzept zu verstehen.
