So, what about the other compounds that are soluble in ethanol and are being extracted with the chlorophyll ? You're not really suggesting that ethanol is that selective , are you ?
With chemistry you look at the after product that's made from the reaction not doing all at once this would be a disaster if you did everything at once
That's an interesting question. I don't know much about the chemical properties of chlorophyll but you're right the heat may break it down. Perhaps it would be better to let it evaporate on it's own without any heat source.
Acetone… I’m gonna test that myself actually, it’s polar and organic so maybe. If it does it’s better suited to the job at first guess since it evaporates faster meaning less degradation of the chlorophyll before you can put it in the fridge
You can use this mixture to demonstrate the properties of chlorophyll. An example is shining a UV light on it which will make it fluoresce a red color.

Ethanol also causes the breakdown of cells spilling out their insides into the solution
I would like to advice you to use funnel next time to avoid spilling.
Thanks verymuch for the free knowlage .you will Live long I pray.I wish to ask if after the extraction er Can just start drinking
No problem, however, make sure you don't drink it if you use isopropyl alcohol since isopropyl alcohol toxic to drink.
So apart from the kids what do I do to make s drink no offence but I did this at school WTF MAN
Wooah! The conical flask is made is INDIA. #LOVEINDIA
I'm curious on how to remove the ethanol to get 100% chlorophyll. Do you heat it to evaporate the alcohol I guess or would that affect the chlorphyll?

Simple distillation can be done to separate chlorophyll and ethanol.
@@dr.pankajpt2920 interesting but after you have pur chlorophyll ?
@@EHProductionsVideos my best idea is pulling a vacuum, sadly I don’t have a vacuum pump to test this
You can use ethanol to extract it, but would nail polish remover work aswell?

So if i want pure chlorophyll can i just let the alcohol evaporate
What can you use your chlorophyll mixture for?

EH Productions Videos, can I use the chlorophyll mixture as a form of aloe Vera hand sanitizer?
@@balkanfilms6740 I'm not sure about that since this mixture is meant to be used for scientific purposes rather than hand sanitization.
@@EHProductionsVideoswhat a waste smh
I was wondering how to determine chlorophyll content in leaves...
Akira Shane we can determine the chlorophyll by knowing the distribution of the starch in the leaf
what type of leaves should I use ?.
I'm not sure which leaves contain the most chlorophyll, but in this video I used leaves from my orange tree and it worked pretty well.
I'm upset due to bad breath 😣
Any leaves that’s green 😂😂😂
Spinach works the best in general
Isopropyl alcohol never ...it's good for cars and trucks....
Use vinegar or vodaka instead
