You know Misha is concentrating hard in a squirrelly beast when a passenger asks a question and 8 seconds pass by… and Misha responds with “….yup…”
To the G80 Owner - there is a little door in front of the front wheels (in the wheel arch) that can be removed to increase brake cooling. It comes closed from the factory but it’s a clip you can remove and the panel comes off to cool the brakes better. I’ve never taken them off my G80 but I haven’t tracked it so im not sure how much it improves cooling.
No need to track, just reach 200 and them slam break to 70 (obviously non retrd units). Repeat 3-5 times. If your cooling in not enough, you'll know
@@stasisthebest Yes, I love going to prison and having my car impounded before I do track days. It’s the only way to roll.
@@FreshlySnipesGermany has no speed limit on the Autobahn so once it is empty you can go as fast as you want and then slam the brakes if nobody is behind you to test the cooling. It‘s not bad advice that the guy gave. It‘s also usable for some spirited back-roads driving here in Germany on twisty roads.

@Gustav Gamer suspension,tires,brake and weight reduction is MOST IMOPORTANT on every track.power is last mods for track.

@Gustav Gamer I met a local with a E36 323. More than 500 laps (ok, that’s not that much for a local but still). His 323 has 171bhp and he thinks it’s too much for the ring to be fully exploited

@@kaanhacioglu3099Bulgarians are petrol heads by nature, it is part of their dna, a lot of wana be race drivers on the street. Hence a lot of fatalities, if you don’t drive an amg or m3/5 etc. you are considered nothing, just visit Sofia and look around.
I'm glad you included the E92 M3 driver. I saw his driving gloves, holding a telescoping rod, with his ring pass and I thought: This guy is gonna be fast, let's see if Misha can keep up!

I’m a bit surprised that this car was too loud, from the video it didn’t felt that noisy, I guess it’s quite well sound proofed.

I could never set the record for compact cars, but my audi rs3 holds the compact car record for this track.
@@MrTchouyes the g80 models are newer cars so it has a lot of sound proofing. It also plays engine noise trough the speakers.
Definitely a better run compared to the wet lap
Really interesting to get the full discussion and your thoughts on the car afterwards and how they can improve it, invaluable for the owner to get that feedback from a driver who knows what they're talking about and great for us to hear it too!
EXCELLENT , the lap in itself, and the expession on the owners face, is a treat! What I really liked, was Mishas' clear and direct critique of the cars' current setup. Never negative, immediately willing to share from his considerable track and driving experience. Thanks a lot guv, great stuff! 🎉

Was impressed with the E92 M3 though. Understated guy, stock exhaust, no messing about. Didn’t even notice them behind.
Yeah these days there's something special about performance cars that intentionally keep the stock exhaust

Hey Misha wanted to leave a comment that I really enjoyed the onboards lately. The boys in the gti and the owner of this m3 seem like such fun genuine blokes and this really carried across on camera. Love the work and all the best going forward.

Yeah, me too. But f80 was the best. Followed by e92.
I like 'em too, definitely choose a BMW over a Merc or Audi. It's just that a lot of these modern cars are made for dummies, automatic DCT and not manual 😢

The BMW M3 is simply an epic car, what not to love? It kills all JDM except the GTR. And kills all AMG except the GT series.

The acceleration of that car is mind-blowing and that 174mph looked effortless, great vid and great driving
131 dB vs 128 dB is a huge difference, it's twice the sound energy as the limit of what's allowed on the track.
Can u please explain why do the tracks have those constrains about dB?

my local track has a limit of 105, nordschleife is at 128 and people still manage to go over it haha wtf
The E92 just shows that sheer power isn't gonna be enough. There has to be a balance !

lol. I was actualy paying more attention to e92 and was waiting to see how long it will take to catch up. Absolute beast with skilled driver that knows his car that thing is.. Have to respect the way he let pass too as he could have easily went for a pass himselff too but he slowed down not like e90 at beggining
@@ArtursMusic do you think its stock ? the v8 cant be so much upgraded as much as i know maybe a compressor g-power
@@anustension it might still be s65. Stock e92 weights 200kg less than stock g80 and at 2:15 when it passes you can see that it has bucket seats and cage so it looks like track focus build. Definitely has upgraded suspension, sway bars etc whilst this g80 has just power mods but you need more than just pure power on a race track 😂
And no diss to Michael Schublacker as he’s a legend with great UA-cam content and thanks to him I follow people like Driva Dave and other UK “drivers” but having him in a car definitely adds some weight 😂
Love the input and feedback commentary, Misha sending it from the dig right after warming up the tires was great because u can see the max power before heatsoak and brake fade. Also that e92 M3 wascrazy fast as well!, the car dialed in and the driver was all in.

Wow. Moving ! Best moment in any video so far this year was you giving props to the e92 M3 driver getting it done with tasteful mods and stock HP. One of the things I love about the Ring. In all my life all the places I have visited it is the home of the most humble and in tune enthusiasts. Beautiful Moment Misha !

The dry lap was definitely worth it! Seeing Misha sweating after a single lap is quite fascinating, and it's nice to learn why too (seats, mainly).
Owner needs to come back next year with the seats, suspension and tires or whenever he can afford it.
Loved hearing all the feedback at the end!

The 350Z you overtake near Carousel also not bad for keeping up for awhile! But damn, the E92 M3 was a weapon!
The G80 was clearly getting left behind in the corners!

@@Dornogol Nah, that Z was trackprepped and light as fuck, look how it cornered. Stock Zs are pigs that bodyroll even with the best suspension setups. He also cut holes into the parachute-rear bumper, he surely knows his stuff and place in the pecking order with a 350Z.

Aside from that lap being INCREDIBLE! I thoroughly enjoyed the debrief chat at the end and I learnt a lot.
Misha, would it be possible for you to do a video on the essential mods for people wanting to start doing track days? Most of us have the power but we lack knowledge on things such as suspension setups, tyres, brake cooling etc.
I’d love your opinion on these things.

This is the hardest I've seen you drive trying to catch that e92 M3.
I think Misha was most focused on trying to keep up or pass that M3, to the point he couldn't let it go and had to go admit defeat to the driver in the parking lot. This was one one of the best episodes!

That video is a confirmed banger. From start to end, such a good follow up video after the wet run.
And the end conversation was pretty informative too.
This lap was next level of dramatic pushing on! With a combination of seeing the owner getting thrown around in the cabin and that verdict at the end. I rate this 10/10! I hope your wrist is okay Misha, looked sore after the lap.

Modern cars are insane! 700hp 900Nm on a stock engine in a stock car and it just works! 🤯
S58 engine is a beast. Shares some of its components with the M4 GT3 rscecar. That's one of the reasons why its easily capable doing 700hp and more

It was super useful info after the lap. The effectiveness of brake cooling for overall longevity really surprised me. Interesting fact about the marque specific tyres too.
Kudos for showing respect to the E92 driver! Seeing how hard you were trying to keep up, I was thinking what should have been going through your head, knowing you were driving a so much higher powered car. Most probably the story would have been rather different with the right suspension and tires.

11:22 - Misha is calm and concentrated during the lap but his forehead shows the effort he exerts on that track. :)
The marshall called them out of the track for the day because the car was way too loud. They recorded 131db and the limit is 128db. Keep in mind decibels work on a logarithmic scale, meaning the difference between 128 and 131 is massive.

I love this episode, this shows so much to the average driver of what goes through our heads as race car driver. It’s always about balance, and on a track your car will expose its weakness very fast. On a side note I still know Misha wouldn’t have had that black E90 with areo pull that hard on him exit speed if he didn’t have 400lbs in passengers
