- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- Although this was used on magazine demo discs starting in mid-1999, its earliest known usage was on the Australian Summer Special disc in late 1998/early 1999. Used until early/mid 2000. Composed by Jason Page.
Nostalgia is calling. Sounds like early Prodigy. It has a jungle vibe to it. Love it.
Amen Break.
This song is quite literally burned into my brain since i was 6 years old.
Spyro 2, Destrega, Tomb Raider The Last Revelation, Fighting Force 2, Millenium Soldier, Kingsley's Adventure, Mission: Impossible, Killer Loop.
My childhood! D;
You forgot motocross to. My favorite demo this one.
One of the best Demo Discs. Good Time. Late 1999
Hell yeah! Spyro 2 always comes into my mind instantly when hearing this
No wonder why I love trance and techno so much. I played the demos as a child a lot and this influenced me somehow
1990-2000s Britain was truly nostalgic and peak for gaming. Total golden era!
Great time growing up through it
Music is the closest thing we have to a time machine... I WANNA GO BACK
I was looking for that tune for so long ! Thanks a lot
psykomatik No problem. ;)
goes hard af holy damn
Awesome! This and Rom Di Prisco and Saki Kaskas NFS III and NFS High Stakes bring so many memories
I was 6 when I had my first PlayStation 1997 the days aye ? Real oldschool with the jungle vibes I would leave it on the menu screen for hours and zone out to the music Lool
I love youuuuu man. this give my goosebumps, i feel soo nostalgic :C
+Adam Demeter (Agginon) Keep in mind that summer starts in December in Australia, and indeed the rest of the southern hemisphere. Also, I'm willing to bet that the Australian Summer Special disc was released in January of 1999, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for uploading, was fun hearing this again. I believe Jason Page also composed the menu tracks in the western versions of Gran Turismo, which are also great to go back and listen to now.
Another banger 😊
My Homie brought his PS2 Two days ago and brought his Ps1 games with it. I wanted to know which demo disc he had. This had my whole living room dancing. 😄
We had 2-3 demo disks, and one of them had crash bandicoot racing. We had 1 map with 2player, and me and a mate re-played it probably 100 times. We got so good, and needed no more
This was such a cool theme I had this on most of the demo discs
This demo music brings back so many memories along with many other demo disc themes.
Remember the sound when you chose a demo ? It was a funny one
*Demolition Racer, Renegade Racers, Micro Maniacs*
and demo with Green Background 💚
That must have been Euro Demo..57?
I remember that green background.

Hah, I was just thinking that this menu music sounds like something out of Micro Maniacs. There's almost certainly a connection there.
Banger!!!
NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD
Unlocked a memory I forgot I had
Club Penguin Penguin dances to this song every day
club Penta Penguin *:D*
Pure nostalgia.

This is genuinely emotional 👀😅😢
(Insert joke about how this sounds like breakcore.)
I remember this one.
I need a longer version of this or at least someone make a mix/set of all these amazing tracks!

AMEN BREAK!!!!!!
I'm crying bro!
When anyone mentions a ps1 demo disc I think of this tune.
The ps1 demo disc theme has no right to go so hard.
The 1990s in all their Glory!
Populous, first demo ever played on this one
Nostaaaalgiaaaaaa!!
Madonna da quanto tempo!!
If I had the skills I would remaster each theme starting with this one as it's my favourite. Heck I'd even recreate the interfaces which I always thought were cool. Shame I haven't had much experience with 3D animation and sound design.
Ok, one is with any acid synth, the beat is from chopping the "Apache Break" if I'm not wrong. The synth at 0:06 I don't know, maybe a single oscillator sawtooth or sine wave. the "trancey" stabs are probably atmospheric pads with an automated gate sequence doing the cuts. If I weren't installing FL12 on a new computer and a lot of synths I could give this a shot
up you go! :)
Not the apache break, the amen break. Close tho
okay UA-cam marked this comment as spam for some bloody reason :/
Damn the memories....
Euro demo 57 june 2000! :)
That amazing menu animations and 6yo me just looking at them like: WOOOOOOW......
WOWWWWWWWWW! Childhood.
this is it!
0:00 What Type of Synth Instrument is This
i know im late, but it sounds like a moog
Sounds like something from Music 2000
A Korg Prophecy, the favoured tool of Jason "No Other Medicine" Page in the Sony era.
C&C, MGS, KKND, Abe, damn, take me back.
You could very easily remix this into a battle theme
Childhood Memories
Australia? Damn! O-o
Can someone explain to me what powerline used to do back then?
lolface992 I assume they were some sort of hotline service set up by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, though my information is a little sketchy.
I believe it was just a loading screen purely based in aesthetics
you called them up for hints & cheats
nostalgia
@CidSilverWing: It's funny because most of Australia's discs were the same as the ones in the UK.
the Spanish version too!
Polish too
I want an extended version of this
I got you,
recuerdos la play station magazine
This needs to be on the PlayStation 1 mini should Sony make one
Anyway we can find who composed these tunes?
His name is Jason Page. You can look in the description.
POWER LINE PS1 SOUNDTRACK V2"5 2022)😀😀

Longer version?
Cela ne nous rajeunit pas
Euro Demo 56 ffs
still creepy, even in 2016...
Eh, I don't really see how one can get creeped out by this, but whatever.
Unless you commented on the wrong video and were actually referring to the earlier theme, in which case I can understand.
creepy? you're not used to rave music, or anything with acid synths
Jacques Cartier rave sound rocks, thats not sounds creepy
I used to find it creepy as well, maybe because of those strange overtones.
2018!!!!!😎😎
2017, from Russia.
didnt like this song much
