I'm definitely more of a mood reader than a planner, but also a "what's available at the library" reader. Speaking of moods, yours in this video was delightful!!! ❤
I’m also super excited for Big Little Spells, the new Ellie Alexander, and seeing all the fun that comes out of the Ashland Fest! I’ve been thinking about the first Hazel Beck book, Small Town, Big Magic, since reading it last year, and now we finally have the next one! I can’t wait for all the cozy fall vibes, Magic, baked goods, sweater weather! Yes!!! Love it so much!
I was lucky and just read Small Town, Big Magic this past summer. So I didn’t have to wait very long for the next one. But I’m loving this one so much!
I'm a seasonal mood reader. I always have a tbr for the season/ holiday. And I read quite a few of those, but there's always something that will strike my fancy, that I'm gonna read.
I really enjoyed Scaredy Cat. We all need Elvis in our life!! A cozy mystery series that I just read that I think is good for Fall is Witch Way Librarian by Angela M. Sanders. I loved it. It has magic that involve books and a cat. I loved this series so much that I'm going to explore more bookish witch cozy mystery series this Fall. This may be a good niche within cozy mysteries for me.
@@Courtagonist I would love to know your top 5 magical/witchy cozies. I think others would like it too. It seems like witchy books are popular this year.
Yay! I can't wait to meet you & Spencer in Ashland! And Ellie (but that goes without saying! ) My tbr is a mix of what I've picked up at the library, the holds that have come in, what I'm reading for various for various cozy challenges, the month's book club pick (this month is Salem's Lot by Stephen King).
It's been a few months since I posted. I love your frames on your glasses. I have an eye appointment next week. I may need to get some new ones. Surprisingly, I read 8 books in July, I think that is a record for me. I think my favorite was The Skeleton Takes a Bow by Leigh Perry. Sid is such a great character. In August, I only read 4 books, it was just so hot here in Texas, I think I napped a lot. My favorite for that month was The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. I'm on my seventh book this month. So far I've read On Thin Icing, Lavendar Blue Murder, Killer Chardonnay, A Whisker of Trouble, Sugar Cookie Murder, Pies and Prejudice (loved the ending on this one) and currently reading Murder in the First Edition by Lauren Elliott. I think I plan my TBR by the month. I have a huge TBR list on my iPad that I'll probably never get through because I keep adding to it. I've started so many new series so I have a lot of catching up to do. It will be awhile before I get to Catch Me If You Candy & Scaredy Cat. Eventually I'll start the Vintage Cookbook Mysteries.
Catching up on some of your old videos that I haven't seen! I'm in Arkansas so I totally understand living far from bookish friends. Everyone I've connected with on Insta is either in a state on the other side of the country OR in another country all together 😂
These books sounds really good especially the Cozy Mystery Ones. I went to my County Library the other day and I checked out 8 Books from my County Library. One of them was the latest book of Riley Sager. I am reading Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. This Book is so good. I am really enjoying this Book. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🔰🐾🐱🐾❤️
I'm a total mood reader! I just finished the first of the Sloane Krause series by Ellie Alexander and I really enjoyed it! Next up is a cozy from a series that's over ten years old by Jacklyn Brady (A Piece of Cake Mystery).
