At first, the mod simply added new blocks with interesting functionallity, like the block dispenser, the hibachis or powered rails (this was even before the vanilla powered rails were added). Then the creator started working on fleshing out the tech progression, gating those blocks behind more interesting processes. Flowerchild kept developing the mod to syuit his own tastes, and once he was happy with the tech aspect, and inspired by other survival games he played, he started overhauling the survival aspects of the game. And that was the last thing he did before retiring and dissaperaing from the internet a few years ago.

Don't feed them rotten flesh either. You also can't feed them fish unfortunately (that would be too easy). You can however use a cauldron over a stoked hibachi to create kibble using rotten flesh, bone meal, and sugar so once you have those things getting dung is super easy.

Honestly I am down to agree this is the proper hardest mod in MC. RLcraft needs to throw several mythical monsters at you. BTW makes you deliberate with your actions (and crippling early-game in a simmilar but different way.) Keep up the work! The grind don't stop until you stand tall at the mountain top!
For taning leather you basically have to put tannings into hides, that is what the bark in the recipe is supposed to represent. The dog shit that's also something that was done during the victorian era. Enzimes in dog poop breaks down collagen in the hide in a previous step to the adding of the tanins. The whole process is simplified into a single step in the mod. But dog poop has been used historically.
I can't believe it. 30 Minutes later a Creeper + Spider tag team in a mineshaft ends my run. Fun
