I seem to be the only person in this comment section excited for this new truck in India. Trust me- this vehicle will appeal to so many people in India.
mahindra and tata are indian brands have poor build quality. But japanese manufactur have good brand value can overcome indian made.also ISUZU is the one of the most qualified diesel engine makers in the world and they are importing their engines from japan .
The Getaway and Xenon have low appeal. They are not very exciting, good looking, powerful, refined or comfortable. The Isuzu feels a lot more car like in terms of interior quality, ride comfort and performance. That is essential for an image conscious Indian buyer. Most of all, it's so nice to have a strong engine and tough build so you can keep it going for ever. And when it looks great, it's a massive bonus!
Sameer Mahabole I don't believe I am being biased. I own a Tata Nano to drive around in the city. You assumed I said the Xenon is average because it is a Tata! Apart from here, the Xenon is sold in the international markets too where it competes with the likes of Toyota, Isuzu, Nissan and VW (the Amarok). I am actually in the market to buy a pick up truck. According to me, the Xenon is an average vehicle which does not feel as good as the Isuzu in terms of quality interiors, driveability or styling. Of course, I am not saying Tata is not capable. I mean, I would buy the new Tata Hexa because it is a globally appealing product. I also don't blame Tata for the bland looking Xenon. When the Xenon was launched, there was practically no market in India for family pick-ups. As f today, as a buyer who prefers comfort and a car like experience with my truck, I would choose the D-Max over the Xenon. If Tata updates the Xenon, then there is no reason why somebody wouldn't choose it! By the way, comparing this to a Scorpio Getaway in terms of off-roading prowess is silly. Do you even know why a Scorpio Getaway is not a hit? Don't just attack comments/opinions with an "Indian" banner slapped on your face. We are Indians too. We have opinions too. That doesn't change anything. Thank you!
Just Love this big CAAAR!! #vivek aaraha. Loved the Xenon myself, but had issues typical of Tatas. This is just what the doctored ordered. Making a statement in style🤘
My aunt, with her coffee cup at 6 a.m said you could not have brought that car up here last night....it was a friend's zen, up a boulder ridden, mud slope @ at-least 30 degrees up-slope. Even 4WD's could not have made it the previous night as Coorg saw some serious rain the whole night. No luggage though, if two duffel bags and a passenger count...
Here in the Philippines we have a more equipped Dmax it has GPS, backup camera and sensors a more powerful engine, leather seats bigger wheels more updated design and more technology it even has a tire pressure monitoring system :)
Yeah well I can get a Gps integrated entertainment system, rear camera with sensors, art leather seats, bigger wheels, get a DPF and EGR delete, snorkel and a performance Remap for under 2500 dollars, its still worth it!
there are no expressways in 90 % of india, and out of tarmac that we have 50% of it is full of potholes , so i will say this is a car for india , jai hind
I love this segment of cars.these types of cars look sexier to me ...thanks Isuzu to make this type of cars in india.it gives me motivation to work hard and to buy these cars 🙏
No need to worry about parts. This vehicle is soooo popular in Thailand, Malaysia and other asian countries that you can notice one on the road in every 2 minutes.
I bought one 4 months ago and have clocked 10k KM's. I think this is a super comfortable, value for money machine for Indian roads. Just came back from 2500km trip to Rajasthan from Delhi. Superb performance and off-road capabilities. You need to understand what you are buying. It's not comparable to a Sedan. Drive this between 100-110 and you will get that feeling of dominating roads or No roads. Highly recommended and a great value for money. Much better than wannabe SUV's like Hyundai Creta whose top model touched 17 lacs on road. if you want to explore your County buy this one.
I just sold my endevour 2013 model and i am having enough cash, earlier i was thinking to buy an xuv 500 but now this video ha changed my mind i am straight away going to buy this pickup
its good, but we need something with covered boot space, as in India rains and sun are always surprise, wherever you go, not only that its an open invite for theft.
Ashok Kumar they have a new model in the same platform as this one, called isuzu 'Mu X' with 7 seat and all qualities are same and it awarded as the biggest SUV of India except the price are not affordable for middle class.
This would be a perfect option for me to transport my bikes from city to city! Was thinking of a scorpio getaway but then this will be the one I'll go for!
Superb review. Isuzu has nailed it but in India, trucks are not really popular because of open luggage space. Isuzu should also make an SUV in the same platform as we love SUVs and price it very competitively.
In USA, our trucks have optional after market cargo area covers that people can purchase and install on their trucks that would make the cargo area weather proof. Anything like that available in India to solve the issue?
Hi krpradi. You can buy an optional lockable cover for the bed, but that eats into the storage volume. As for the SUV, it's on its way, so watch this space...
Liked the way Gavin reviewed the suv. Keep up the good work. A good one from Isuzu but they need to price it aggressively and most importantly make their products available across the country.
looks, rear legroom , price tag , engine and cabin is better than good.A full cab with third row without leafspring suspension setup will do fine with car sales. Rear parking camera and bit chopped off dimension will be like cherry on cake. ISUZU is doing good.
Downer.. internationally this truck come with a 3.0ltr engine and electronic steering wheel and gave it a miss to India maybe to keep prices low..It can he made so gorgeous with maxiss off road tyres, air suspension for the rear and off road kits imported from Thailand... I game for it...
Nearly all proper 4WD vehicle require you to come to a complete stop, shift to neutral and then engage 4WD Low. Shifting between 2WDH and 4WDH can be done on the fly.
Nice review.. I totally agree with the second row seat ht is low with not enough thigh support and seat is a bit upright....but iam still going to buy this... thanks for the review...
After seeing this i am thinking it would be priced 24L, but at the price of xuv it is awesome Isuzu good pricing now they should focus on good service it would be great hit in indian market
When planning for such a vehicle like scorpio getaway or tata or this isuzu, do we require different driving licence or our normal lcv non transport will do.....
for the price this really is a lot of car for your money. compare this car with the likes of the price for duster and other suv's in this class and you can see how much more isuzu is offering.
+Neeraj Jadhav the pickup concept isn't exclusive to the US. South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, etc are just a few other countries that are very important markets for pickups.
The new American pickups trucks can be had in high luxury trims too. Stuff like massage seats. Auto parking, full length panoramic sunroof. Not to mention limousine levels of space and Mercedes levels of comfort. Not to mention their massive engines- 6.7 V8 diesel- 440 BHP and 1250 Nm of torque, compared to the 2.5 litre 4 cylinder 136 BHP and 320 Nm of this V Cross.
Pick-ups that cost over 40 lakhs and are not available in india. According to D-MAX it's from the Diesel Legend ISUZU for that price tag of 15lakhs onroad with 4WD option . Its really a good deal for indians.
Why not to go for tata safari 4x4 . And safari also got huge boot space ..can keep luggage without any theft tension or getting spoiled from water.. plus no problem while driving with family
Beautiful vehicle! :( I got myself 1993 Isuzu Rodeo in America. :( I want that truck but USA don't have that market anymore since 2009 :'( but I wonder how much cost to import that truck to USA? :/

You felt that the engine is responsive and the tuning is good...What if you load the luggage bay with its maximum suggested safe payload capacity of 265 kg completely and turn on the air conditioner and drive, if you really want to test the engine....it will be obviously less(performance).........HOPE I'M RIGHT. Hi Harshith SV, yes, the performance will be blunted by added weight, but frankly 265kg is really not that much for 320Nm to handle, so I don't think it will be too badly affected.
There is a similar 3litre engine (longer stroke), used in the Dmax in other markets, that is used in trucks up to 7500kg gross vehicle mass (11000kg with a trailer). Yes, extra weight is going to blunt performance, but a 'pick up' like that is doing to be able to tow a loaded trailer while at full capacity without causing any problems. These aren't like small capacity petrol motors, they don't struggle so badly with weight.
Looking forward to buy an ISUZU DMAX VCROSS for our music / event management tours .. #aspirerz #aspiretoinspire #aseemmohabbat #conqerors , In His Time ⚡

what activity do you do that makes the thar a better choice than say any other suv
Thar is a superb offroader. But this is very comfortable and more fast

My mom loads bigger luggage and off roads worse than this on her maruti 800

Unfortunately they don't provide us every feature in order to reduce cost to compete with cars of its segment.
We don't get those features cuz simply pickups don't sell here
😍♥
How's that 3.0lt engine sir?!
omg... it will be star on indian roads and offroads... very nice vehicle
Ford should launch its F-150 in India...
Expected price upwards of 1 Crore? T.T
Nah, the ranger. That would be perfect.

How you know there are are no highways at 90% of India? and how you know that highways are full of pot holes? Where do you stay
Hey come to ANDHRA PRADESH 90% of roads are like beautiful highways...
Here in Thailand, we literally have millions of this kind of truck, and it will attract those who cant afford passenger car.
Thank you for providing in india ❤
I love this segment of cars.these types of cars look sexier to me ...thanks Isuzu to make this type of cars in india.it gives me motivation to work hard and to buy these cars 🙏
Saving money to buy this. And one day, very soon I will a proud owner of this beast machine .
No need to worry about parts. This vehicle is soooo popular in Thailand, Malaysia and other asian countries that you can notice one on the road in every 2 minutes.
I think a SUV version of this truck around the same cost will be much better
Vijay Prashar search the isuzu mu x it will launch on april to india its already launch here in my country
INTIMIDATING was that indica beside u at 03:02 😎😂
If this got success then am sure toyota will bring there hilux to indian market
Atleast owing heavy cars will help to create a sense of responsibility to Indian drivers.
This is quite popular in North India.
And boy was I scared when I saw one pass by me 😂😂

Xuv 500 has very maintenance cost. Spare parts are costly & not durable.
its good, but we need something with covered boot space, as in India rains and sun are always surprise, wherever you go, not only that its an open invite for theft.
You can buy the cover its available as an extra fitment.
I love this thing.. gud at highway and bad roads....
With the Front look and build quality , if they done 7 seated SUV, it would be a good hit in india
Ashok Kumar it has a seven seat counter part its "Isuzu Mu-X" search it I believe it will launch on april in India
Force MU7
Ashok Kumar they have a new model in the same platform as this one, called isuzu 'Mu X' with 7 seat and all qualities are same and it awarded as the biggest SUV of India except the price are not affordable for middle class.

Yes, I have seen Tata Xenon with cargo covers in Bangalore but the quality is not up to the mark.
Hi krpradi. You can buy an optional lockable cover for the bed, but that eats into the storage volume. As for the SUV, it's on its way, so watch this space...
You have the MU-X for a proper closed SUV
Isuzu already made an SUV named "MU-X"
excellent review. More of Gavin in future videos please..
Govind bro...back space for Furniture cant be converted into seeting purpose? Putting seats and body roof cover.
its been india's first pickup truck after tata xenon...very great spacious , powerful, all terrain drive , value for money
the second pick up was Scorpio Getaway !!
Liked the way Gavin reviewed the suv. Keep up the good work. A good one from Isuzu but they need to price it aggressively and most importantly make their products available across the country.
Finally pick up trucks in India! Waiting for the Hilux.
You got that. Guess it's the fortuner.

Toyota should launch tacoma and tundra here
So that it can flop? they study their markets very well before diving into something like that.
Yeah
Tundra will not even fit within the Highway lanes of India. Hilux is a better option.

Isuzu is Japanese
For the price at least rear "Differential Lock" would be appreciated which I didn't think is available, or is it?
Hiren Danidharia Nope, no diff locks sadly. It does have low-range though.
A follow up review would be good, relevant question when dealing with a pricey 4x4! and no leather seats...

I've got one d-max here in Nz and it costs 60k which is about 32lacs Indian. I can see the difference between Indian and the overseas models.
Bigger wheels, better rims and some class cosmetic upgrades is all it needs.
Wait for year. Check out the international dmax trims.
M going to buy this beast...soon... decided after seeing this avi.
compare v-cross, xenon & scorpio getaway back to back
Here in Thailand as in the Philippines much the same vcross with optinal 3.0 litre thnx for the video nice humour and info 😁😁😁
It looks like our American 4x4 dream came true in India by the Japanese. It is a great car/small trcuk indeed.
Excellent value for money.
why cant they cover the loading bay ?
Hi rohit r, you can buy a covered loading bay as an accessory, but it limits the loading capacity quite a bit.
which highway are u driving thru..locations looks beautiful
What I fail to understand is why wud u give beige color carpeting in a sports crossover which tends to get muddy ??
this is not a cross over. its just a bit more luxurious pick up truck!
Gadi gad in our country its so much better and looks so much better its not beige in our country its black leather
innova mid or isuzu dmax vcross high which is better
wooww nice review city, highway, off road test nice really
nice Review..
I have One doubt ..
Can you shift 4H to 4L on moving vehicle?
or just 2H to 4H?
Just give me a clarification..please..
Nearly all proper 4WD vehicle require you to come to a complete stop, shift to neutral and then engage 4WD Low.
Shifting between 2WDH and 4WDH can be done on the fly.
A lift kit and off-roading wheels and some knobby tires will make this perfect💯
Price to size ratio is very good. I would go for this rather than a Scorpio, That or Safari at 10-15 lakh rupees price.

Hi Shishir. No, these three trucks don't require a commercial license to drive, unlike the old, discontinued D-Max, which did.
+Gavin D'souza thanks...
cool review...the guy is super talented..
in my opinion this would worked very nicely in India if isuzu would have been a lil easy with the price tag.
Would like see videos of comparing all of this category like. Getaway. Camper. Xenon.. If any others too
for the price this really is a lot of car for your money. compare this car with the likes of the price for duster and other suv's in this class and you can see how much more isuzu is offering.
good job Gavin, however you missed out one important point. Does this have an LSD like the Tata?
Hi Aditya Jayaram, good point, thanks, and no, I don't believe it does...
+Gavin D'souza do you recommend buying the dmax vcross?
Hanu Trivedi Yup, absolutely. It's a great adventure vehicle, if that's what you're after.
A real man can back up his car without all the electronics.
does it have option for locking differential?
Can you please review the 2018 version. The one launched with pedal shifters.
No indestructible Hilux for India? If this pick up comes with a roof kit. Then it will work.
i already booked in white and i will modify it to make it look even better.
