Darth Porg strikes again with another genius masterpiece. I literally saw this show up on my feed the other day and it was actually like the Reaction Gods had sent me a gift, and what a gift it was.
This is everything. Darth Maul is everything. I love this and him so much, Darth Porg thank you for blessing us with such an amazing tribute into my favorite character of all time.

Darth Maul got a really great character developement in The Clone Wars, I really liked how he knows everything that's about to change in the galaxy.
It’s in large part that, while the Light Side of the Force has been clouded because of Palpatine’s growing power, Maul sees clearly through the Dark Side. And as he says during the Siege of Mandalore, “The Dark Side has never been stronger”.
@@SpiralSine6 He also presumably knows of Palpys plan to destroy the Republic and create the Empire he was supposed to be Sidious' apprentice before Naboo, Dooku was the placeholder apprentice
I loved how Obi Wan caught Maul as he fell and held him and comforted him as he died. In spite of everything Maul did to Obi Wan, Obi Wan never hated him. In the end, Obi Wan truly did mend the "old wound". I like to think Maul realized that as he was dying and forgave Obi Wan too.
I love what Clone Wars and Rebels added to Maul. He went from a cool, mostly thanks to Ray Park, but somewhat generic villain in Phantom Menace to becoming one of the most complicated and tragically heartbreaking characters in Star Wars.
When he said to Ashoka, “Let me go. Let me die!”, it made me realize how wounded he is and how his life was so tragic.
That part gives me chills every time...he knew what was about to come and knew how bad things were going to be

Darth Maul is the reason I fell in love with Star Wars. My dad took me to see The Phantom Menace in 1999 when I was only 4 years old. It was the very first movie I ever saw in the cinemas, & the second I seen Darth Maul ignite is duel bladed lightsaber, I was obsessed with star wars from that moment on. He will forever be my favourite fictional character

when he said protecting someone i feel that if maul killed obi wan he would have found luke and tempt luke to the dark and try to kill vader and palpatine
well he needed a purpose after killing kenobi after all, probably that would have been his goal after kenobi
I don't think Maul can find who Kenobi is protecting Luke didn't use the force at that time
Obi-Wan never intended on killing Maul, but he was so obsessed with rage, so he went after Kenobi. After all that happened to Obi-Wan, Order 66, Qui-Gon's, and Satine's deaths, Obi-Wan still didn't give in to the dark side. He pities Maul because Maul could've followed Obi-Wan's path to the light.
Rest in peace Maul.
There was no redeeming maul, Obi-wan pitied him because falling to the dark side was a choice made for him not by him.

"The Clone Wars", "Rebels", and the "Son of Dathomir" comic book series really helped flesh out more about Maul's backstory and gave him some great character development.

You’re not the only one obsessed with him, he never gave up, you understood his side, and most of the time you want him to accomplish what he wanted, he lost his legs, his place beside his master, he’s brother, his mother, and lost to the one person he wanted vengeance against. His path was so unfortunate, but he wasn’t willing to give up. His power was so underestimated

Even at the end, Maul tried using the same attack on Kenobi that he used on Qui'gon, but Obi-wan saw it coming. And even after all Mauls taken from him, Obi-wan held him as an equal...truly the greatest Jedi.
The edit of the same Qui gon move he was kinda lured into doing by Kenobi was simple but heart hitting because it shows you how impactful that final fight was

in all honesty, Maul has my whole heart
I have a crush on Maul since the first time in Star Wars Episode I❤the way he moves when he fights, his deep and calm voice, that hypnotic look ... he lost so much, he was used and then replaced as if he were nothing, I cannot imagine all the pain that he carries inside after being betrayed and humiliated ... makes me want to hug him
I honestly believe, that in the moment that Maul was being taken into custody on Madalore..that he truly showed fear..for possibly the second time ever. He knew what was coming, he knew all along. And I also love, that even in the end...Obi Wan, was able to give comfort to his sworn enemy. Such a great tribute, and I love your reaction.
There’s a lesson to be learned from Darth Maul sometimes Hatred is the only thing that can keep you alive
The second lesson to learn is that if it is the ONLY thing keeping you alive, it may not be worth living...
How many know that Zabraks have two hearts, so technically Maul could still be alive. It takes a few min for the second heart to kick in....

Wait really? Yes that’d be awesome perhaps he wakes up and realises Obi wan held him despite everything and left to instead go after Sidious for he did to him and his brother.
But there is still a chance that obi wan sliced his 2nd heart so I don’t see maul appearing again sadly I don’t think they could bring him back from the dead but hopefully we see him in the kenobi show and also maul survived because obi wan (in the phantom menace) didn’t cut any of his vital organs because zabraks are very different from us we couldn’t survive our legs getting cut of but a zabrak could

I still have so much respect for the Clone Wars (and Rebels) writers. They managed to take a silent and one note antagonist from episode 1 and turn him into the best character in the series.
his life had been a struggle from start to end. He was broken again and again and every time he got back up. He may be a villain, but his will and refusal to give up deserves respect.
Maul is one examples of characters that chase after what they want until they either get it or die trying.
I love finding other Star Wars fans who are just as (sometimes even more) obsessed with Darth Maul as I am
I love that I'm not the only one that can repeat Maul's lines. He legit has some of the best lines. I think this illustrates just how much Kenobi both pitied but respected him. They both suffered a lot, at the hands of each other and not, and it makes Maul one of the most interesting characters in Star Wars.
Darth maul is rarely literally and preciously the best Star Wars villain ever to expand a legacy to see him as our bae.

this is as much of a tribute to kenobi as it is to maul. The fact that Obi held him in his arms before his death (just like he did with with 2 of his most beloved people) shows great respect and personality
The way he was portrayed as almost insane, a lunatic, after surviving with his legs cut off and using the hideous spider legs, is fantastic. It puts everything he does into perspective.
Tbh I hope Disney doesn't keep milking him. I was skeptical when they brought him back from the dead for Clone Wars but his story was so amazing that I warmed up to it, and the way his arc finally came to an end in rebels was honestly beautiful. I don't want them to cheapen that by continuing to throw him in randomly into spots where he feels out of place like his random cliffhanger in Solo.
I didn’t like his ending >.< I wish he went another way against Sidious for what Sidious did to corrupt him and for killing his brother. That’s why I still want him to live after what Obi wan did and instead try and avenge himself and his brother rather than getting revenge on Obi wan for taking him away from the Sith who later betrayed him.

This was a very good history lesson on the character. I also enjoyed T7Pro's Darth Maul: Apprentice fan-film as well; as it shows a slightly earlier version of Maul.
Man, While I love Christopher Lee. I still feel like we got Robbed in not having Maul in the movie's in the whole trilogy. How AWESOME would it have been to see Anakin RoTS going up against Maul?! Cat, I will say again- you HAVE TO react to the Kenobi Fan film by Jamie Costa. its at 4.5 million views now. It will TOTALLY get you stoked for the kenobi series ( when they finally decide to move forward with it)
I used to think the same thing but at this point I think what we got in clone wars is so much better and fleshed out then what we would have gotten in the movies. I'm happy they decided to kill him off in phantom menace because his clone wars arc is one of the greatest things about clone wars

With the Clone Wars we sort of got both. We have Chritopher Lee's/Corey Burton's Count Dooku as well as Sam Witwer's Maul.
I actually like the agressive aristocrat so much nowadays that it is impossible to imagine the Prequel Era without him.

Not really, that’s just how maul fights, it’s form 7 “vaapad” and that’s why Obi-wan changes his stance to fight him form 3 his great for defending ones self and Obi-wan is a master at it but form 7 is known for its savagery that breaks any defenses so obi-wan had to Adapt to form 4 which is more aggressive so he could actually land a hit.
I don’t think I’ve ever come across a person who loves Darth Maul just as much as I do
One thing that makes even more awesome, he saw things that didn’t even happen yet (Order 66, Anakin turning to the Dark side).

I REAALLLY want a Darth Maul tv show showing what he was up to with Crimson Dawn between Clone Wars and Rebels with Qi’ra. That was rumoured a while ago but so far nothings come out of it.

I wish only Maul can live, or being cloned so the story of him from tragedy evolves into beauty, the very beauty worth living for. I miss him, I sympathize him, I admire him strongly.
