I remember our family meeting jackie when he was abit older and married with children,he found my niece crying as she had got lost in Lighwater Valley and he was out for the day with his wife and children, wecldnt belive it,but very grateful aswell they took goid care of her while waiting for security to attend as had been annouced on tanor.
ITV3 have just started repeating Classic Emmerdale. However they're going from late 1989, when the show was renamed to just Emmerdale. That seems to be the start of the modern show as we know it today. Shame as these older episodes are interesting to watch, a bit dull in places, but good to see them actually talking about farming rather than the over the top storylines of today!
My mum used to watch Emmerdale farm and the first Coronation Streets. Not this crap nowadays where somebody's in hospital every bloody minute and people getting arrested.
I remember Harry Mowlam. That man was one nasty bugger and as tough as teak. He met his match later on though and was killed by one of his murderous pals
"the British soaps (1960's,70's,&early to late 80's), I have been watching mixed drama and comedy regularly and that was great and rare for soap opera especially here in the states the U.S. where they were always doom, gloom, and everyone was a millionaire, in the U.K. soaps they had the same but everyone was hard working and knew how to survive in the episodes, and i've noticed in the recent times the British soaps have since become like the soaps over here now, the soaps here are now dying out, the classic U.K. soaps are the best,thanks!."-🤔. 🌐📻🌐.
I believe these are the 8th December 1983, 12th, 17th & 19th January 1984. I could be wrong though I'm going off the 2 sentence descriptions off the Emmerdale Wikia
I did the same thing for other episodes he uploaded. Since the cast lists are usually in order as to they are displayed on screen, it makes it easier to confirm if it's correct if you compare them. Also yeah I think you're right. 5:55 matches the description "Pat wants to visit her daughter Sandie in Aberdeen. But will Jack agree to go?"
I remember watching them with my gran. R.i.p Laura oxnam.

A simpler time and about my pace in life .
I’m only here cause it was a joke about this show on “Bottom”
Emmerdale nowadays lol
Times change. Actually these 1983 eps here are hardly gentle. The terrifying Harry Mowlam for a start.
Glory Days
Walter just sat in the bar all the time, and never said anything, he just drank all day.
