“spiral architect” is a reference to DNA & in the context of the lyrics according to Geezer Butler it’s about life’s experience being added to the DNA to create a unique individual. I have rarely seen this classic reacted to, such a shame as it's one of my favorite Sabbath tunes, cheers
dudes need to do more of these tunes not war pigs, paranoid, fairies wear boots etc all great tunes but this album, sabotage, volume 4, masters of reality go with those
yeah, this is right, this is what Geezer said. This was Ozzy's favorite Geezer lyric, but Geezer basically thought it was just one of many, because lets face it Geezer was a truly great lyricist. Geezer did vast majority of lyrics. This is one of my favorite Sabbath tunes too, very atypical. Positive, sophisticated arrangement and production, kind of the pinnacle of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath sound. "Sadness kills the Superman, even fathers cry" is branded into me after my last couple years ... One of my long time favorites too. Glad someone else likes it.
The into of this song is my morning alarm clock...it's a nice way to wake up from sleep...and if I decide not to wake up, it wakes me up when the beat hits.
The title track to this same album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is a minor epic in itself. The title and song really refers to the pressures upon them now that some money and success had arrived as well as the heavy coc@ine indulging they fell into during this period. The expectancy and pressures of pumping out more product and fame hovering all around them. Perhaps you give it your reaction soon. Cheers.
when you said it was soothing I couldnt help but think he needs to hear planet caravan. Sorry for the multiple comments, Black Sabbath has been a huuuge part of my life
I didn't catch all of lyrics either, but from what I did hear, I am thinking the song is about having self-esteem even if that means diverging from the mainstream. ...shrug... Here's another Black Sabbath song to react to: "Shadow of the Wind" ua-cam.com/video/HHWt0KaPF28/v-deo.html This song is about heroin addiction. There's no mention of heroin in the song, yet it's not that difficult to figure out what the message is.
Spiral Architect is amazing but a national acrobat is one of my personal favorite Sabbath songs. Thanks for bringing more attention to the world of hard rock bro.
It is just great fantastic that some people see and respect how great this band was and I know damn well they touched me and my generation like they touched others

People don't know that Geezer was the primary lyricist.
@@EattheApple666 I think most Sabbath fans are aware of this but for the casual listener you are probably correct.
