Whose farmers? our farmers, not Starmers farmers. The people at large are behind the farmers. This is a major policy mistake. The government either makes a u-turn or the people, en masse, will turn against the government on this policy. The people know which side their bread is buttered on.
The people at large pay 40% Inheritance Tax not zero or 20%. Stop pretending this is OUR issue, because it isnt. This is about farmers dodging tax, for which I have zero sympathy.

It's weird that starmer's out if the country today, isnt it? He's a total dud. No character, no empathy for working class brits, no sympathy for poor OAPs but lots of polices to destroy the country.
When a farmer employs workers they work on the farm not for just for a wage some just love the job and they work long hours in a busy time the workers wouldn’t want to do anything else come the local elections the labour MPs in the rural areas they will get such a shock better not show there faces as they will never get in power for a long time if ever again
I get the impression that the farmers just really love driving tractors. Come on farmers get glueing yourselves to things! Thats a proper protest, bunch of snowflakes!
A farm has to be big enough to actually make a profit. Many only get by because the owners pay themselves very little. If you lose 20%, you start running at a loss. Assuming they want to keep farming, they need all the land and assets together to make any money. It would take 10-20 years with all their income paying the tax before they can pay anything to themselves. Farmers can afford to pay the tax, but they and their decents will have to give up farming forever.
65 million pounds worth of tractors on the streets of London alone doing nothing but disrupt traffic somewhere this is mental plus all the other towns and cities
A typical farm makes a return of 1% on capital employed (if lucky) but the tax is 20% per generation so each generation would have to work for nothing for 20 out of 25 years. This is not viable or reasonable and they are not moaning.
As a farmer I pay Income Tax, Corp Tax, Business Rates, Council Tax, NI Contributions and VAT, so I resent being labelled a tax dodger. It’s not just farmers who will be impacted by these changes, it’s all businesses. There needs to be changes to inheritance tax rules for everyone.
Don't pay road tax, dont pay fuel tax, dont pay inheritance tax, dont pay tax on building new farming properties built on site that they can reside in. I'm sorry but they need to start paying their way. This is really only affecting people with £3 million pound plus. The land value is high not because its valuable as they literally all state, its valuable because its used to dodge tax. By adding the tax, the land value goes down and should push them under the £3 million threshold. If youre still over that afterwards im sorry but youre a very wealthy person and should start paying your way like everyone else.

Declared war on tax avoiders certainly.

Lets hope the Farmers bring down this Government, this is the only Government in the World that is freezing their old people to death
This is also the only govt in the world that allows the energy barons to freeze us to death.
As usual the dalek is out of the country. Wish he’d bloody stay out too.
2TK never here Starmer
There should be no place in farming for subsidy scroungers and criminal tax evaders.
Subsidies enable farmers to produce food at affordable prices so that benefits scroungers can afford to eat while farmers work hard seven days a week.
Did the BBC news cover this protest today ?
Obviously not
There were plenty of tractors in York city centre also today
Does the UK Need farmers or not the question to Starmer perhaps he believes we don't his he on a different planet
