This makes me so happy and so very sad at the same time. My beautiful dad was a Nottingham forest fan. I grew up with him watching the games and get so excited when they won. He’s been gone now for a little over 8 years and I miss him so much it breaks my heart. We came to Australia 🇦🇺 when I was 15 and lived here ever since. My dad was cremated and around a year after he passed my sister and her husband went to England to see his family. She took some of dads ashes and laid them to rest at Nottingham forests home ground. He loved that team so much ❤️😢

He was 72 and the first game I watched Utd play was super hard because it used to be me and him. But there is a sliver lining my 2 year old loves football I couldn’t care who they supposed I’m just happy she loves football
I did the same with my dad's ashes at NY Giants Stadium in the US! I had to sneak dad in because it is frowned upon but I'll say I spread a small vial by the seats he sat in most of his life and I put a very small amount on the field. And a bit in the parking lot he loved to tailgate and BBQ in before the games. Wanted to make sure he sees the next Superbowl win we got coming eventually

Forest may have been promoted to the premier league but please let them celebrate while they can because this is going to be a a tough league for them with the likes of Man City and Liverpool because they are going to have to step up there game next season otherwise it's back down to the league they was in
My sisters boyfriend, his dad and brother are all Forest fans. His mum recorded the reaction, and you’d have thought they’d just won the lottery! My local team also played their playoffs final yesterday and won - I was thinking about Mark and Forest and checking the score constantly. We're still far away from La Liga's first division but it was the first promotion Real Murcia has had in 11 years. What a beautiful day yesterday was. Glad to see you had a great time guys!

Slightly different ( I know what you mean though) but 'Forrest were one of the best teams from Late 70s-early 90's but haven't played in the top league since '93. They were in danger of being relegated to the 3rd league earlier this season but the new manager turned things around. They didn't get the top 2 automatic places but managed to win these playoffs to get promotion. The PL is the richest league in the world & if they have smart owners, even 1 season there (because they will be amongst the favourites to get relegated) can set them up for years. This was more than just a trophy, it can literally save clubs. Of course with awful owners who take the cash or leverage the clubs, it's also damaged them. It's a beautiful but hurtful game at times. Lol.

In 1937 the best man I ever knew was born in a road in West Bridgford. A Forest man through and through. I grew up watching this wonderful man besotted by his club. I've never commented before but I felt I had to so I could let you know how delighted I am for you and Dorest. I've been a Gooner since I was a child but my second team is now Brihgton as that's where I live, and the Seagulls had three unsuccessful playoffs in four seasons before being promoted automatically and have been in the PL ever since. I've seen a change in this city's spirits in the past five years and I sincerely hope the same is true for Nottingham, no disrespect at all to Huddersfield who I'm sure will come back but I'm so pleased for all of you to finally have top-tier football back on your doorstep. It might not be the glory days of Clough but it's a wonderful achievement nonetheless and I'm especially jappy for Mark after the disappointment at the Euros final. Keep up the amazing work.

In 1937 the best man I ever knew was born in a road in West Bridgford. A Forest man through and through. I grew up watching this wonderful man besotted by his club. My Dad died 16 years ago and the promotion today brought me so much joy for a man I knew would be dancing in heaven. Well done Forest. I'm sure Cloughy is shouting ' About Bloody Time'

I loved watching your reaction. I guess you grew up with a dad telling you about league titles and European cup wins and that pride flowed through you at that final whistle. I’m Evertonian and after the worst season I’ve ever experienced memories of my dad had me break down in tears when we stayed up the other week against Palace

I've never commented before but I felt I had to so I could let you know how delighted I am for you and Dorest. I've been a Gooner since I was a child but my second team is now Brihgton as that's where I live, and the Seagulls had three unsuccessful playoffs in four seasons before being promoted automatically and have been in the PL ever since. I've seen a change in this city's spirits in the past five years and I sincerely hope the same is true for Nottingham, no disrespect at all to Huddersfield who I'm sure will come back but I'm so pleased for all of you to finally have top-tier football back on your doorstep. It might not be the glory days of Clough but it's a wonderful achievement nonetheless and I'm especially jappy for Mark after the disappointment at the Euros final. Keep up the amazing work.
