13:17 That diamond pistol formation is such a cheat code with lamar!! Would it be smart for the ravens to use a quicker guy as the H or Y back or would that lose the effectiveness of the ravens use of that formation. Ive seen Monken and Roman use Ricard in this formation but seeing newer variations of the triple option like the eagles, I’d imagine using players that dont mainly block or with less blocking ability (rb’s ,likely, andrews) would still be effective with the threat of Lamar and Henry.
Coach, I'd be interested in you doing an entire video of what you would do to try and stop Lamar Jackson. A video for fun and to see how you'd scheme him...
@Martin-b5t9p Bro, it's been 8 years and no one has stopped Lamar. While we have much respect for coach and his insight, I don't think a video by him about how he would stop Lamar would be sought out by NFL coaches.
@@Martin-b5t9pno disrespect to the UA-camr don’t think I ever heard his name but ppl get paid millions, hundreds of thousands at least while something in his video maybe thought provoking id bet the person that’s getting paid has a better scheme
Lamar's accuracy on 15-20 yard passes has been amazing in the latter part of this year. He looks so good in the pocket, and he's a menace when he scrambles, and he can beat you with the long pass either way.
8:34 I’m glad to see this review, I was a little annoyed that my initial reaction was that Andrews and Flowers ran out of bounds and just watched the play, but after looking at this Andrews was pushed out and Flowers recognizes what’s about to happen and runs his man/ shields him from the play so Likely can score… more reasons to watch these film studies, so you can actually see it again and not just assume
The opponent's plan is already flawed when they come into a game thinking "Let's force King Henry the ball all game". Pick your poison offense. Lose by Lamar's arm, lose by Lamar's legs, lose by Henry's legs...
Preparing for the ravens in 4 days is hard enough, but who thought it would be a good idea to force your defenders with 4 days rest to have to try to tackle Henry 25 times? The Texans just looked completely unprepared for this game. If we play them again, they'll probably put up a better fight.
Sound was good imo. Video was, as usual, very enlightening. It would be ice if Rasheen Ali could learn the physical and psychological prep of Henry. He could be a great "relief" back, next season, perhaps.
Bro that play at 5:30 is insane. Henry got beat, anderson ran by andrew’s and Rosentgarten and lamar still dodged both of them and passed to a wide open andrews. insane work
henry doing that dive helped a lot too. so he recovered, and bought bro a lil more time. still this shit is so exciting. we just need to stay consistent all the way thru.
On the TD pass to Likely, Andrews is pushed out of bounds, becoming ineligible. I recall a somewhat similar play, again with Lamar and Likely successfully improvising while Andrews steps out of play. Was that this season?
Love the max Payne reference coach. Really ahead of its time game . Great video as always .
This was a "we're gonna do whatever the fuck we want" type game

Why put it out there for other teams to use against the Ravens? I think it's a terrible idea.

Thanks for the great analysis 👍
Yea I wish you could do longer videos I could listen to this all day or maybe even a podcast. I know you probably busy but I really like the content

Nice work.

Really like tou showing lamar executing the timing throws, and show the special evading defenders, "the one" type throws.
Sounds fine. Good stuff, Coach.
Love the video coach
Coach, playing hurt, puts in a solid performance.
Share and like yall, more people need to see this content imo

They had no chance

If you look close you’ll see Lamar point to where he wanted Likely to go on the TD pass..twice

Max Payne that is a such a good comparison!
I wish national media watched your videos before giving their opinion on the ravens. You and Filmstudybaltimore. And Cole for OLine
Max Payne 🔥 reference.
I think the reason why is because we use the diamond formation so sparingly
21:02 Why would Ricard not be able to essentially veer into the A gap if he reads a give? Maybe too much athleticism and risk there?
Great work coach and I agree defenses have to mix it up. Just running at Lamar is disrespectful to Henry IMO.

@@samazon52 maybe against the bengals? This play looked similar to the one where Lamar stiff armed the defender
